I hope this doesn't come as a surprise to anyone here, but this is a daily prayer .My alignment with MAKE Wellness speaks to my heart - as a nurse I've always been a helping sort, this is no different . I share from my experience and my heart. My dad was a salesman / engineer . I can hear him now calling some sales guys - "film flam artists" . Motivation and Gratitude :
I had a conversation recently about feeling "gross" but lacking the motivation to work out .

As we spoke I said , maybe it's your perspective on the entire thing that is keeping you stuck ~ why not call it "moving " instead of "working out" ?

As we continued I shared with her what I do to try to stay consistent to the promise I made to myself to move more everyday ...

I keep the perspective that many folks I know would love to be able to move and can not . Being pain free , strong and able is a gift - truly . So I treasure that gift, guard it and look at moving as my insurance policy .

I shared a few things that help me , a total non athlete type , to move everyday :

I get dressed first thing in the morning in my clothes for exercise - that way I have one less excuse and it reminds me of my schedule .

I try to be consistent and developed a routine, movement became just what I do at certain times- a non negotiable habit .

I focus on the positive - I am able to do this AND I am keeping the promise I made to myself to be proactive about my health and feeling good .

I want to be the strong grandma , wife , friend , sibling , aunt who can keep up , play and be present . I don't want to be a burden to my family as I age and , most importantly , I want to honor the gift of my health .

As we parted ways she thanked me and said today marks day 1 of her new perspective - she's going to "move" more .

For every person that is weary , every body that needs a boost , for every mind that needs a break , I pray the decision to move ( however you are able ) be planted within your heart , I pray . Amen

Love the skin you're in is easier said than done some days but .... can I introduce you to an amazing trio that may help you to consistently appreciate the skin on your entire body ??
