Four events, three days, two incredible people getting married, and now one wedding feature I am SO excited to see go live!

There are a million things I could say about Allegra + Ari’s wedding weekend. The 500-stem caladium chandelier. The custom flooring inspired by Puerto Rican mosaic tile. The fashion. The flowers. The dancing. The fact that every single event felt uniquely inspired and yet cohesive.

But there was a moment during their reception that has stuck with me. 
Ari stood up and thanked his parents, and he spoke about the decision they made years ago, in India, to send him away to boarding school so he could have a good education. It was a huge sacrifice for their family - and one that eventually led him to the United States, to Allegra, and to this room where their families had traveled from all over the world to celebrate them. There wasn’t a dry eye in the tent, mine included.

For all of the incredible design and once-in-a-lifetime details packed into these three days, that’s what made this weekend so special to photograph. It felt like we were watching so many different threads - Indian and Puerto Rican, family, friendship, sacrifice, serendipity - somehow lead to this weekend.

Allegra + Ari, you two are magic. So excited to finally see this one on @caratsandcake. 💜

I guess you could say I’m “over the moon” to be reliving Anisha and Will’s unbelievable 3-day wedding celebration in Udaipur, India today! I don’t come into a session with a list of poses I need to work through. Some people are playful. Some are quiet. Some look incredible smiling straight at the camera; some come alive when I ask them for something a little more editorial. Usually, it’s a mix of all of it. ⁠

Temi and Jack gave me so much to work with - elegant, affectionate, cool, and completely comfortable letting me see them in my own way.⁠

We started their engagement session at Laguna Gloria and ended at the restaurant where they had their first date. Their next stop: London, where they’ll officially tie the knot!⁠ by @lucystruve

Robert and Emma’s wedding was the last one ever hosted at South Congress Hotel, and they sent it off exactly how you’d expect two stand-up comedians to: full monochromatic red, an escort “wall” made entirely of tiny purses because that is deeply Emma’s whole personality, and napkins printed with quotes from Robert’s late father. Only two people who do this for a living could make a wedding this funny and this tender at the same time. ❤️‍🔥⁠ taken in South Congress Hotel by @lucystruve
