The @countrylivingfair is a treasure hunt, and the treasure is usually a 200 pound antique hutch. The second you find the piece you can’t stop thinking about, the only real question is how it gets home.

So we’re here all weekend doing our part. Tagging the finds, wrapping them up, loading them out.

We were gifted local moving assistance by @lugg, which made our cross-country move a little easier.

After years of buying, selling, storing, and moving furniture, I picked up a few tricks that made moving our entire home and shop from Texas to Maryland a lot less painful.
-Storage containers for the long haul.
-Shipping our car instead of driving it.
-Vacuum-sealing anything I could.
-Facebook Marketplace on the other end.

If you’re willing to drive about an hour west of Chicago, Kane County Flea Market is the kind of place you can spend an entire morning exploring.

Up to 400 dealers bring refurbished furniture, antiques, collectibles and plenty of things you didn’t know you were looking for.

Saturday runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Sunday opens at 7 a.m. for the serious treasure hunters. Admission is $7 and parking is free.
