Sometimes, you need to stop for a moment. Take a look around, enjoy what's happening and realise just how far you've come.

If someone had told me ten years ago that I'd be standing at the Lausitzring with a racing car I'd built myself, taking photographs with a friend one day and driving the next, I probably would have laughed. Yet here we are.

The funny thing about chasing dreams is that you rarely stop to enjoy them. There's always another goal, another project, another problem to solve. You're so busy looking at what's next that you forget to appreciate what you've already achieved.

And standing there, watching the sun set over the circuit, I realised something rather important.
None of this happens alone.
Behind every car, every photograph and every weekend at the track, there's an entire team of people who make it possible. Friends who lend a hand, people who help in the workshop, behind the camera or at the circuit. And, perhaps most importantly, those who support you at home, even when that simply means sitting next to you on the sofa after another ridiculously long day.
Every single one of you has played a part in turning what once seemed like a rather ridiculous dream into something real. And I couldn't be more grateful.
The car might have my name on it, but the story certainly doesn't belong to me alone.
So here's to everyone who's been part of the journey. To the late nights, the setbacks, the laughter and those little moments that make all the hard work worthwhile.
Sometimes, the greatest achievement isn't reaching your next goal. It's realising that you're already living something you once dreamed of.
And with that said...What's next?

Trackday recap - Lausitzring.

After a long preparation phase, the Bilz M-01 finally hit the track at the DEKRA Klassik Tage / Oldtimer Trackdays.

With perfect conditions on Saturday, the first laps immediately felt right. The car gave me confidence from the start, and with every lap I could push a little more and simply enjoy driving it. The engine ran clean and sounded exactly as it should, a big thank you to Peter for all the help!

Unfortunately, our Saturday ended a little earlier than planned after an issue with one of the rear brake hoses forced me to bring the M-01 back to the pits.

Still, the weekend was a big step forward: more experience, more confidence in the car and plenty learned for the next outing.

Next stop: Nürburgring with Oldtimer Trackdays.
