I had the privilege of getting to try out the new Leica SL3-P in a wide variety of settings. As someone who has used the SL system for my hybrid photo and video work for years, they’ve added a lot of the features I’ve been waiting for. For years I bounced between the SL2 and the SL2-S for if I was doing more photo or video work, and the SL3-P feels like the best of both worlds. Check out all of my thoughts in the video linked in my bio! by @lukasvanderlende

From the first Leica to the most recent. I was able to go visit the location that Oskar Barnack tested the UR-Leica, the first 35mm camera, with Leicas newest addition, the Leica SL3-P. Being where it all started, 100 years later, gave me a deeper appreciation for the medium that I love. by @lukasvanderlende

Faces of the SL3-P trip. It was amazing to meet these incredible photographers and filmmakers. Such an honor to be apart of this experience and buckle up for more footage from Wetzlar and the SL3-P! by @lukasvanderlende

I’m making more room for photography just because I love it.
I wrote a little about why.

Meet my dad, a professional photographer and filmmaker of over 50 years. This spring he sent me a photo of his storage solution for all of his work and I knew he needed some help to protect his life’s work. A huge thank you to @synology.official for helping him and getting him set up with a NAS that allows him to continue creating and start protecting his work.

Click the link in my bio to watch the full video of transferring his archive from 30+ external drives to his new NAS, or if you just want to hear more about my dad and see his incredible work! by @lukasvanderlende

What a year 33 has been. I was invited to Leica HQ, started bouldering and enjoyed some intentional family time. Oh, and I chopped all my hair off.

Coast Guard photo dump
A good camera can handle anything you throw at it. This week my SL2-S handled a lot of sand and rain. Never worried about it because these things are made to be used! by @lukasvanderlende

This past week was a busy one for us. Coast Guard Festival, baseball game, Archer’s first birthday. All captured with my trusty SL2-S by @lukasvanderlende

Grand Haven shutter drags
For this past month our lighthouse catwalk has had red white and blue lights, giving me an excuse to get some unique photos of it. I took my SL2-S and started experimenting with shutter drags of the catwalk and the water this week. Between 1s and 1/8s all edited with LV2. taken in Grand Haven, Michigan by @lukasvanderlende
