Our team at Luminosa was honored with a MICHELIN Green Star and a Bib Gourmand — recognition that leaves us deeply humbled and profoundly grateful.

This honor reflects what we set out to do since the beginning: to source locally, support our farmers, and let the ingredients of this region tell their story. The accessibility of our community’s extraordinary produce and the opportunity to uplift our local economy and culture is the heart of our work. Receiving recognition for what we practice every day is a tremendous honor, and we are endlessly grateful to the Asheville community for making it possible.

At the bar, you get a perfect view of the pizza oven, the bartenders, and your fellow guests. It's no wonder these seats are first-come, first-served. As such, we recommend you really do come first! by @luminosaavl

There's a new king in this kitchen.

When former chef de cuisine @seanmc828 went south to lead the new @rivamarechs, it was pretty clear who'd be filling his boots. Now, we're exuberant to announce to the world that the mantle has fallen. Chef Maust — our unstoppable sous chef from the start — will helm the Luminosa kitchen alongside @instagrahamhouse.

Chef Maust (rhymes with "bossed") has always brought a full-hearted energy to the team, with equal parts drive and good humor. He's a champion of the Modern Appalachian techniques and sourcing that have given Luminosa its identity, and we can't wait to see what he brings to the literal table in this role.

Ditch the scene and come fly fishing on a private riverbend in the Blue Ridge, with a Luminosa picnic and a hotel night all wrapped in.

In partnership with Hunter Banks, a local fly fishing outfitter and trip guide, The Flat Iron Hotel invites guests to immerse themselves in the outdoor bounty of Western North Carolina through this immersive fly fishing experience. Ideal for beginners and intermediate levels, this guided, half-day, waded, fly fishing experience takes guests to @ivy_bend_nc, a privately owned 20-acre property with half a mile of riverfront access to learn the art of fly fishing in a quiet, controlled, and picturesque setting. Guests will also enjoy a luxe, packed picnic lunch from onsite restaurant, Luminosa, to take and enjoy on the excursion.

We're happy to share that the hotel and all onsite dining experiences, including Luminosa, Red Ribbon Society and Rooftop Caffé, remain open and fully operational following a minor fire on property the night of September 14.

We're so grateful to the first responders who quickly and safely extinguished the fire.

One note: the pizza oven was damaged in the fire and will be temporarily out of service. As a result, pizzas will not be available, but all other food and beverage offerings are available.
