My FACE when I drop the glass!!
It’s always a heart-stopping moment when I drop a piece of glass 🫠🫠
Luckily because I have a rubber mat behind my cutting station this eucalyptus leaf bounced and can still get soldered today! by @lumpy.glass

This is one of my most exciting projects to date! For me, at least.
The queen of indecisiveness (me) FINALLY chose a design for an internal window in our home! It’s the longest stained glass window I’ve ever made.
It took me an afternoon with some sheets of paper taped together, a pencil, and pure vibes to sketch out the rough shape, then a few weeks to just say “f it, no more tweaks”, then a day of pulling what felt like every sheet of glass in my collection (lol) to decide on the final layout.
It uses some of the stunning vintage and antique glass I collected from the studio buyout earlier this year, and a very cool painted piece of glass I’ve been holding onto since the @johnreyntiens workshop last year!

When Mon from @ogee.guesthouse asked me to make some stained glass for their bathroom windows of course I said yes! The brief was warm, classic, functional, and needed to complement the sexy red bathroom but not overwhelm it.
The guesthouse has a beautiful large panel of amber Muranese glass by the front door (which is not in production anymore and extremely difficult to find), and I happened to have some squirrelled away for a special occasion so of course we needed to use it for the feature corner squares!
Install was smooth at times (see: putty removal) and fiddly at others (cursing the previous windows heavy heavy use of silicone, that glass was not supposed to break!), but by the end of the weekend both windows were in place, looking like they’d always been there ❤️ by @lumpy.glass

I’m gonna be really honest with you all, I’ve got content burnout. Sometimes I go through stages where compiling regular content is fulfilling and I find it fun and creative, but at the moment it’s just such a drag and I’m being so hard on myself.
I almost didn’t post this video because I don’t have a finished product to show at the end (I’ve decided to keep it lol and it’s in my front window) but also… it deserves a spot on a feed yeah?
Oh lol and key words; stained glass, gum tree, handmade Australian glass art by @lumpy.glass

This large stained glass poppy window is still an absolute favourite of mine, and with the upcoming holiday and market season I’ve gotta be ready to pack my bag with some pretty handmade glass flower options for all of you! by @lumpy.glass

Just a reminder that holiday commissions will be closing in a few weeks! I’m pretty slammed at the moment and only have limited spots, so if you wanted a special piece of stained glass for a gift then get in touch!
I’ll still have another website update before then, and yes it will have the popular poppy flower prices! by @lumpy.glass

Is glass a good wedding gift?
This beautiful heart was made to be given as a wedding gift for a lucky couple, it was such a lovely piece to make and I really had fun coming up with my spin on the classic love letter. Stained glass hearts like this can be made with all kinds of lettering!
And before anyone asks, I’m spraying the piece down with isopropyl alcohol to help loosen up and remove the Nokoroke flux after soldering 😊 by @lumpy.glass

Is it too early to start thinking about holiday gifts? Not if you want to give a custom piece of stained glass! Whether you wanted a custom design or some tweaks and a different colourway of a previous design, start thinking about it now. I’ll be closing customs in mid-October!
Also, yes I’ll be doing another release of stock for the end of the year too! Date tbc on that one. by @lumpy.glass

The sun is shining, spring is in the air, and I cbf making a reel this week. Here’s some snippets from my table and from my world. I haven’t been posting much about the abstract work I’ve been making, but for about a year and a half now I’ve been chipping away at projects with the sole purpose of being creative. I haven’t really been posting about them because that puts pressure on me to finish them in a certain time frame etc. sometimes I’ll cut it and leave it there for a few months before I return to it for changes. Anyway, it’s been enjoyable. by @lumpy.glass

Dates for September and October beginner stained glass are up now, come along on your own or bring a friend! It’s a lovely welcoming environment and we have a lot of fun, you start by choosing one of the beginner friendly designs then I walk you through all the steps involved in making your own copper foiled glass piece.
Also, if you’ve come to a class before and rebook for a second one, we can figure out another design for you to do! You can bring your own or I can draw one for you, as long as it’s possible to do within the time period :) by @lumpy.glass

I’ve had a lot of messages asking when my stained glass workshops will be coming back, and I’m happy to say I’ll have new dates for copper foiling classes up on Friday! Spread the word! Tag a friend! Ask me any questions you have!
They’re held at my studio in West Moonah, Hobart. I can have up to 6 people in a class so bring a group if you like, but a lot of people come on their own so don’t feel shy! It’s always a lovely friendly environment, glass just brings people together :) by @lumpy.glass

These birds are not meant to fly alone!
Just a little bird appreciation post. I’ve made many more, but it’s become a bit of a tradition to get a pic on the back deck, no matter what the unpredictable Tasmanian weather is doing.
Which one is your favourite? I’ve always made them as commissions, but should I do a range for my website..? by @lumpy.glass
