Currently reading 📖

I’m slowly making my way through all of the @ghostlightfalls ARCs for this upcoming release (November). And just as I suspected, I’m loving every second of it!

I finally started Harvest Season on audio, part of my spooky reads challenged for @valeria.reads.it.all - Brynne is such an auto buy author for me.

I am struggling with physicals right now hit I’m making my way through Devour Me & The Unworthy, even if it is at a glacial pace lol

Life is really lifing for me right now. I did not anticipate needing to find new employment around the holidays but here we are… I’m just tired 😪

Hey beans 🫘

Just a few things I’m looking forward to in the coming weeks. My soul bean Ariella is coming to visit and we have fun things planned. One of them being the @bookfairatbelair BOOKS & BOOS at @lapetitemortbooks, a fancy dinner date, the aquarium, visiting Edgar Allen Poes museum and carving pumpkins! 🥰

I’m turning 39 🤮

3 for Thursday & September Wrapped

Mashed these up because I’m lazy 💁🏻‍♀️

September was a pretty rad month. We adopted Pickle (cat), I saved a wounded mourning dove from being run over & rescued a fat a$$ frog from my moms bathroom.
I had not one but THREE dates with Hoochie Daddy, which is wild for us.
Brownie points if you can guess which ARC I did not enjoy.
Started my second Ghostlight Falls adventure, because I am a glutton for punishment I’m on the ARC team again 😂
Not a bad month reading-wise, but I def didn’t read as many spooky books as I would have liked.

Holy moly Lyra… I just. Ugh, I loved this.
My brain is practically short-circuiting, so I’ll leave you with quotes I loved.

💜 Goodness gracious Kri. What a considerable amount of fluids that was.

Continuing my 31 spooky reads challenge for @valeria.reads.it.all with The Unworthy by Augustine Bazterrica. I thoroughly enjoyed Tender is the Flesh and so far this one is not disappointing either!

I am almost finished my ARC of book 2 in the Star Kissed Mates series Tempting Fate by Lyra Strake and GOOD LORD 🥵 I love seeing a woman in charge. I have never seen something I struggle with in a book as well… Imani is touch sensitive, repulsed by light touching as it triggers a fight or flight response - and shoooowweeee if Airida doesn’t touch her exactly the way she needs. RELEASING 10/6, PREORDER NOW.

Leisurely making way through Devour Me by Emily Rath. Another on my 31 spooky reads challenge. I just started but I can tell I’m going to DEVOUR it 😂

Yall, I’ve been reading The Ballad of Falling Dragons by Sarah A Parker for months LOL it started as an immersive read but my brain just wasn’t letting me continue. I’ve since switched to audio and am having a much easier time. I know this book is going to wreck me.

Whoever said marriage is a trap, never married their best friend. Happy 5 government years hoochie daddy 💕

Being loved by you has healed so much of me that the little girl in me finally feels safe. You have never made me feel like “too much” or “difficult”. You’re always down to be weird with me and even encourage me to be weirder. You’ve given me the family I always dreamed of having, and while we haven’t been together long in some people’s eyes - these have been some of the happiest years of my life. I love you 💕

Esther, what a rough life you lead.
5 men who absolutely WORSHIP you and have no problem sharing (in the end).

Dr. Underwood / Mr. Tanner - handsome doctor who with a ferocious alter ego 🦠
Auguste - a sweetie pie vampire 🩸
Amon - a powerful Sphinx 🐈
Ezra - an invisible Irish hottie 🫥
Booker - a rock hard golem 🪨

I think if I HAD to choose just one, it would be a tie between Auguste and Ezra. Auguste loves to feed Esther & Ezra is so playful (and he has an Irish accent so 💁🏻‍♀️).

SM*T IS THE PLOT but… this was a sweet story of acceptance & protecting those you love. This was a 5 STAR read for me. I cannot wait to read more.
