🍦✨ ICE CREAM GLOW IS OUT NOW! ✨🍦

Olivia Genesis’ new music video “Ice Cream Glow” ft. Malaika Uwaifo just premiered on YouTube, and Torey had such a fun time being a part of it! 💙🎬

I featured a few of Torey’s little highlights above because even though he stayed exactly where he was supposed to be… that camera sure did catch him quite a few times. 😂🎥

Such a cute, colorful video with the sweetest summer energy. Go show Olivia Genesis some love — watch, like, comment and share! 🍭☀️🎶

🎥 Watch the full video on YouTube:

One thing I’ve learned is that everybody who has an opinion about your child does NOT need access to your child’s opportunities...or them for that matter.

Sometimes people think they’re “helping” when they insert themselves into situations that were never theirs to manage.

But this is where my faith gets strong:

You cannot sabotage what God has covered.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”
— Isaiah 54:17

I don’t have to chase rumors or prove what may have happened behind the scenes. God sees what I don’t see.

What I do know is this:

Torey’s talent did not disappear.
His work ethic did not disappear.
And the months of training, workshops, coaching, self-tapes, and preparation did not disappear.

Will training continue? Absolutely. Growth never stops.

But nobody gets to erase the work already put in just because one chapter ended differently than expected.

Sometimes what looks like a closed door is really God redirecting you to the right one.

No public battles.
No names.
No bitterness.

Just prayer.
More training.
More auditions.
More growth.

Torey is 8 years old. We haven’t even gotten through the opening credits. 😂

We are not defeated.

We are REDIRECTED.

And I believe this next chapter is going to explain exactly why this one had to end. ❤️🙏🏾

The dream started early. ❤️🦸🏽‍♂️

Long before this contest, I used to tell Torey that I wanted to see him become the "Black Superman" one day — a superhero little boys who look like him could see themselves in. Of course, Torey grew up and chose Spider-Man 😂, and “audition for a live-action Miles Morales someday” has absolutely made it into our acting goal book.

But our WHY goes much deeper than acting.

Over the last few years, Torey lost both of his grandparents very close together, along with his dear great-grandmother. As a single mom, my parents were my backup... and his safe place, his extra love, his village. Losing them changed our little family tremendously.

And yet, Torey keeps growing. ❤️ He’s homeschooling this year and doing beautifully. He’s smart, curious, funny, creative and full of imagination.

I wish I could give him every experience and opportunity I dream about for him right now. Sometimes the ideas are bigger than the budget — hello, real life. 😂 But I also know this season is temporary, and I believe God has greater things ahead for us.

That’s part of why this competition matters to me.

It gives Torey access to opportunities, experiences and possibilities I may not be able to create entirely on my own right now — and reminds him that hard chapters don’t get to decide how big his future can be.

So when you vote, share his page or simply cheer him on, you’re helping one little boy keep believing:

“Maybe that really could be me someday.”🥹💙

Thank you for believing with us.

CURRENTLY PLANNING MY NEXT ICY CONQUEST 🍦🍨🏃‍♂️

Torey has a serious love for anything involving a popsicle or ice cream. 😂 Like… we cannot keep it in the freezer.

And yes, sometimes I get a little mad because I’ll go looking for MY treat and—nothing. Gone. Torey has eaten everything. 😩😂

So when this picture popped up while I was cleaning out my camera roll, I could only laugh because this is Torey basically every day… looking for his next icy conquest. 🍦🧊😂 His next treat. His next mission.

And this is officially my reminder to ask Olivia’s mom @olivia_the_og WHERE she got those colorful popsicles from because he absolutely loved them the day of the shoot. 😂💕 by @luvtoreycarson

Supporting Lead
Torey Booked a super cool Supporting Lead Role yesterday. It's a great project that I believe he is really going to learn and grow from. Films in October & November periodically.
