JR x Miles Aldridge x Simon de Pury x Jonathan Newhouse.

That’s the dream team collaborating on the cover of our winter 2026/7 issue. Avant première at Frieze London with a launch at Art Basel Paris.

British art photographer Aldridge photographs French artist JR for a series of polaroids, also featuring Elton John and Maurizio Cattelan.

Simon de Pury interviews JR and Jonathan Newhouse illustrates him.

Last night Richard Mille in collaboration with LUX Magazine inaugurated a new type of talks in their beautiful new Monaco premises. Each time a collector will lend for a period of two months an art work from their personal collection to Richard Mille. On the day of the unveiling they will speak about the particular work. Yesterday Darius Sanai (3), owner of LUX and initiator of the project, conducted the talk with me. This gave me the chance to lend the 2013 Antony Gormley sculpture (1/2/3/4/5) and speak about my immense admiration for the artist @richardmille @luxthemagazine @kamera_obscure taken in Monte-Carlo, Monaco by @luxthemagazine

We are delighted to be the co-creators of this year’s Patina Art Residency, created by LUX and a jury of esteemed judges from around the world for Patina Hotels & Resorts.

The chair of the judges is Maria Sukkar, co-chair of the Tate Middle East North Africa Acquisitions Committee and senior contributing editor at LUX. The director of the residency and convenor of the judges is Darius Sanai, editor-in-chief and owner of LUX.

This is the second year of our programme, which sends an artist chosen by the jury for a residency in one of Patina’s resorts around the world.

This year the fortunate winning artist will travel to Patina Osaka in Japan. The winner will be announced after a process of nomination, submission and deliberation, in October.
