Now, you’d think I’d have this long planned caption for this moment. This idea was conceived in April 2021 and it would take me another 16 months to finally begin the production process. And then another 15 months to finish what I started. Through the delays, I found gratitude for I realized more work needed to be done. I had more lessons to learn, more people to experience, more knowledge to obtain and more acceptance of my shadows. And now all of me: the good, the sexy, the bad, the ugly are illustrated through these pages along with other Black women open enough to tell their stories of recovery. Happy September y’all! The final fragrance from my protect(HER) campaign is propagated sistah, named after the first poem ever written for who will protect me? The “propagated sistah” fragrance was developed to restore and protect the auric mind from external influences, alleviating anxiety, worry and stress. A sweet woodsy aroma with cedar leaves and frankincense, this fragrance could be considered the official protect(HER) auric spray; designed to calm the spirit when experiencing self-doubt, overstimulation and depression. *** With September being Suicide Prevention Month, I deem appropriate to highlight the necessity of attending to our mental health, especially as marginalized people navigating an oppressive and insidious system (past and present). We have been experiencing an immense amount of modern day lynchings and a significant increase in suicides among Black teens due to the lack of mental health resources for our communities as well as the transgenerational trauma of iatrophobia (fear of the healer). Throughout the month of September, I intend to continue sharing more detailed information about my aromatherapy and how it can be an essential contribution to your self-care practice. In that case, let’s talk about the fragrance “mother king.” “mother king” fragrance was developed to balance the solar plexus chakra, aromatherapy that boosts self-confidence while simultaneously providing comfort in humility. Happy Venus Day! Since Friday is ruled by Venus, I thought I’d take some time to share a little information about my fragrance “Heart’s Mirror.” 💚🪞 Ruled by the planet Venus and the element air, the heart chakra is the control center where emotional ties to the past are stored, where we experience empathy, grief, compassion and sorrow. The fragrance “Heart’s Mirror,” was developed to promote emotional balance in the spiritual body and alleviate emotions that bring tension to the chest. The spiritual components of the fragrance can also attract love and abundance (can also be used in a bath or mopping your space).
