A little Champagne and a touch of Paris before the music.

Before your @nocturnedenver set, step next door to RiNo’s newest Champagne bar, La Vie En Rose @lverosebar, for a glass of bubbly and a few delicate plates made for sharing between sips.

Or make La Vie En Rose the final stop. After the last set, slip next door for a nightcap, another glass of Champagne and something small from the kitchen.

Steak tartare, gougères, savory petits fours and other French-inspired bites, designed for grazing before your three-course dinner and the first notes of the night.

Different rooms, different moods, one very good night. by @lverosebar

Introducing The Royal Mistress.

Named for Diane de Poitiers, the celebrated favorite of Henri II, and a woman whose influence reached well beyond the royal court.

Diane became Henri’s preceptress and confidante when he was fifteen. Their relationship continued after he returned to court, and when Henri became king, Diane became his favorite. He later gave her the Château de Chenonceau, where she commissioned the bridge across the River Cher and created its celebrated gardens.

She was also a patron of the arts and architecture, working with artists and architects including Le Primatice and Philibert de l’Orme. Her time at Chenonceau helped shape the château’s Renaissance character.

The cocktail takes its inspiration from that history: Sweet Gwendoline Gin, Lillet Blanc, Dolin Chambéryzette and Salers, layered with botanical notes, alpine strawberry and the bitter character of gentian.

Complex, crimson, and bittersweet. You’ll feel like royalty with every sip. by @lverosebar

You slip through the door with the day still on your shoulders and find a friend waiting inside, their place at the bar already saved beside them. Before the hello is finished, a coupe appears. A small plate follows, made for sharing, and then another, because the first was too good to leave at one.

Perhaps this is where the evening begins. Or perhaps you arrive after the last note has drifted out of @nocturnedenver next door, carrying the music with you, and discover that the night still has somewhere to go.

Either way, you came for more than Champagne. You came for the warm glow of the room, for laughter across the table, for the pleasure of staying when there is nowhere else you need to be. You came for entre amis, for the French art of being together and letting an evening unfold without asking where it is headed.

Come find us. We have a glass waiting. by @lverosebar

Nothing lands on this menu without first sitting beside a glass of Champagne to prove itself worthy of the company. Every bite, obsessively, deliberately, has been tasted against the wine it is meant to accompany, adjusted until the pairing feels less like a suggestion and more like an inevitability. This is not a kitchen that garnishes a menu with Champagne as an afterthought. It is a kitchen built entirely around the glass. by @lverosebar

It’s time to book your holiday party. At Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club (@nocturnedenver) and La Vie En Rose Champagne & Cocktail Bar (@lverosebar), you can reserve one space, the other, or bring the two together for an evening that moves between them.

At Nocturne, seat up to 65 guests for a three-course dinner, served plated or family style, or welcome up to 150 for a cocktail reception with passed bites or a stationed dinner.

Let the music set the tempo with a live duo, trio, quartet or quintet from our roster of Denver musicians. Build a hosted bar around house pours or top-shelf spirits, and add a Champagne welcome, custom cocktail experience, or guided wine and Champagne class.

At La Vie En Rose, step into a more intimate Parisian setting for Champagne, cocktails, and small bites. Reserve the bar on its own for a more intimate celebration, or pair it with Nocturne and let your guests move between the two spaces throughout the evening, shifting from live jazz and supper to Champagne and cocktails, with each room offering its own atmosphere and experience.

Corporate gatherings. Holiday parties. Milestone birthdays. Engagements. Whatever you’re celebrating, choose the room that suits the occasion, or let the evening unfold across both.

Planning a December event? The booking cutoff at @nocturnedenver is October 20.

Tell us what you’re imagining. We’ll help build the evening around it. taken in Nocturne by @lverosebar

Born in 1910 along the route of the Paris–Brest bicycle race, the Paris-Brest was shaped as a wheel, a pastry made for the road. Choux pastry and praline cream offered a little fuel for the 1,200-kilometer journey between Paris and Brest.

Years later, a Paris-Brest at Les Bon Georges sent Chef Greg and Nicole Mattson on their own pilgrimage through Paris, from one pastry shop to the next, in search of the city’s finest.

This is our homage to that afternoon: two crisp wheels of pâte à choux, filled with hazelnut praline cream. A little Paris, remembered through pastry. by @lverosebar

Long before a guest crosses our threshold, the evening has already begun, in the retelling of a friend's night out, in a photograph passed along like a small secret, in the quiet decision to wear something a little finer than usual. We like to think anticipation is its own kind of pleasure. By the time you arrive, you have already fallen a little in love with the idea of us. We simply get to prove you right. by @lverosebar

We’re honored to be featured in @wine_spectator’s article, “Champagne Takes Center Stage at Denver’s La Vie En Rose.”

In his feature, Assistant Editor Greg Warner explores @lverosebar's collection of 375 wines, with Champagne at its heart and a list that celebrates the diversity of the region’s growers, producers, and terroirs. As co-owner Scott Mattson shares, “We wanted to reveal as many facets of Champagne as possible. We hope to give guests a true snapshot of the region as it exists today.”

Executive Chef Greg Weadick brings the same approach to the menu, drawing inspiration from a trip to Paris to create hors d’oeuvres and small plates designed to complement Champagne, from Gruyère onion tart to Kaluga caviar pavé with crème fraîche.

Thank you to Greg Warner and Wine Spectator for the feature.

In 1945, with Paris only just exhaling from the long dark of occupation, Édith Piaf set pen to paper and gave her city something it had nearly forgotten how to hold: joy, undefended and unafraid. Her song, La Vie en Rose wasn’t a promise that sorrow had ended. However, it became an unofficial anthem with the call to see the world through rose colored glass anyway. We borrowed the name because we believe in that same small rebellion.

So tonight, we’ll raise a glass to seeing things a little differently. by @lverosebar

Over a decade ago, Nicole and Scott Mattson opened the doors to @nocturnedenver, a jazz club that has since become part of the fabric of Denver nights, where music, cocktails, and hospitality have gathered beneath the same roof for more than a decade.

Tonight, they open another door, just steps away. La Vie En Rose @lverosebar is the realization of a long-held dream: a little piece of Paris shaped by their love of Champagne, delicate bites, and the romance of a Parisian night. More than a hundred bottles of Champagne line the list. Velvet curtains trace the room's curling Art Nouveau lines. And at the bar, a grand brass ice bucket is built directly into the counter, framed by plush seating and shelves of gleaming crystal glassware.

Perhaps that is why the name feels so right. La Vie En Rose is an invitation to see the evening differently, through the rose-colored lens of Piaf’s beloved song, with a glass in hand and nowhere else to be.

Tonight, the door opens in @rinoartdistrict.

Meet La Vie En Rose.

Just next door to @nocturnedenver, a new room is beginning to glow.

@lverosebar is Scott and Nicole Mattson’s newest concept, a Parisian Champagne bar where Art Nouveau curves meet velvet curtains, a sweeping bar wraps around a Champagne bowl, and nearly 120 bottles wait to be opened.

The food is made for Champagne and conversation: steak tartare, a grand gougère with Mornay, savory petit fours arranged on tiered platters, popcorn fried chicken and other small bites meant to arrive a few at a time.

The cocktails take their cues from French poetry, stories and places. The room leans romantic. The Champagne list goes deep. The details are polished without feeling precious.

La Vie En Rose arrives Friday, September 11.

🥂 Denver, meet your new Champagne destination.

@lverosebar is bringing a little Paris to RiNo with an impressive Champagne list, French-inspired cocktails, and elevated bites like caviar, black truffle custard, and foie gras macarons.

The Art Nouveau-inspired space makes it just as much about the atmosphere as what’s in your glass. Think velvet, marble, walnut, and a dramatic 28-foot banquette.
