POSTS STORIES REELS

2024: SPONSORS & PARTNERS….Your support is life changing.

I am thrilled that heading into 2024, I will continue to have support from key sponsors that have backed me right from the start of my elite/ professional triathlon journey:

▪️ @premierekitchens_
▪️ @hamilton_litestat
▪️ @champsysuk
▪️ Huw Jeffery Plumbing
▪️ @coolrunnings_aircon
▪️ @welovesolutions

Without their support, it would have simply not been possible to be able to truly lead a journey that is values based.

They have been so bought into the vision of my athletic journey since 2021: to use the platform and privilege that racing as an elite athlete brings - to make a difference by reaching, inspiring and helping others.

The support from these sponsors enables me to make choices that aligns with this, I am able invest time into areas that go far wider than the athletic journey.

It is also ace to have other partners who are providing support to @passionfituk through 2024:

▪️ @vitalelectrics
▪️ @proceiling_south
▪️ @matherandmurray
▪️ @itcsales.co.uk

Some of these are long standing and others new, but 2024 I am looking forward to:

▪️ Keep innovating with @tom.passionfit.ward and @loren.passionfit.ward with the unique coaching philosophy that truly changes lives - @infiniteevolutionuk
▪️Racing part of the @teampassionfitxhale women’s team
▪️ Swimming in my @raceskin wetsuit
▪️ Have training camps at @sportsclubcalero
▪️ Keep on seeing if @tripasion can make my bike faster…
▪️ Driving around with a flipping cool number plate from @carreguk
▪️ Be fuelled by @total_endurance_nutrition
▪️ Helping any and every cyclist and triathlete recieve the bike support they truly need through @passion_fitting
▪️ A special shout out to @markhand04 for many reasons.

It is so much more than an individual journey, this is a shared one, so thank you to those who are involved and supporting.

It means the world to have your belief.

♾️🌈AUTISTIC PROFESSIONAL TRIATHLETE🌈♾️

A new and exciting chapter starts as I have had the final outcome following making the decision to have an assessment for autism…

The diagnosis came back confirming that I am categorised as having ASD.

Taking the step to embark on the assessment process AND announce this are two steps that I wasn’t sure if I would take but if it helps one other, it’s worth it.

I have had to work through and change my own preconceived biases and stigmas attached about what I thought ASD was, even when I could so clearly see so many traits in myself.

Being diagnosed with ASD is something I am proud of. I can now see it as a gift as even with the more challenging aspects that come with ASD there are so many positives that I am now recognising even more.

💚 Why did I decide to go an ASD assessment?

To provide clarity.

For as long as I can remember I have never really felt like I have ‘fitted in’, struggled in situations that others seemed to find so easy, been pre judged on behaviours and have had extremes in emotional and mental wellbeing.

I wanted to learn more about myself to continue to self develop, be able to let go of frustrations and help others to understand me too. This has provided the start point for that process.

🧡 What does it mean for me next?

Nothing changes with the journey, I actually more excited than ever. There is a lot of learning to do about ASD but for me, triathlon has always been a journey of self discovery and this is part of that.

At the core of how I have got to this point has been through applying the unique behavioural coaching ideology of @passionfituk to my athletic, personal and professional development. With this new insight, this becomes even more important, and I will be working with my coach, @tom.passionfit.ward, to continue to focus on this level of behavioural development.

Continued in comments.

🏁 Another race: go on then.. 🏁

Next stop: @worldtriathlon championships

With a twist...

I have elite GBR starts for both:

▪️Long distance championships
▪️Cross championships (off road)

This is going to be SO COOL!

At present, I will be the only athlete turning my hand at both road and off race races 👊🏻

Time to sharpen up the MTB skills.

3 weeks to go....

🚨 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY: If you are a company or business that would be excited to support my journey to represent GBR, please reach out to me to find out the value I could add back to you! 🚨

🧳 Back to back races & two weeks on the road ✅

What an amazing two weeks, racing at both @chmallorca and @barcelonatriatlo.

With a P9 at Barcelona yesterday, and P6 at Mallorca the weekend before, it has given me so much learning about where I am at and what to get out.

Highlight of the trip, the weekend in Barcelona with my Mum - post race paella, waffles and a beer. Memories made that I will back on with so much gratitude for... No race outcome will ever top that time together.

Now back to Melon and getting cracking to the next races of the year... my season is just getting started.

Three more races to go this year.

Any guesses what they might be?

🏁 HERE WE GO AGAIN 🏁

@chmallorca incoming.

Race goal: smile & saviour it

I never take it for granted that there will be a 'next race'.

Hyped to go out there tomorrow, make the most of every moment and smile the whole way round.

It's going to be a proper race day party with over 4000 athletes on the course 🙌🏻

Do you know what the best version of you truly is?

Are you being the best you can be or deluding yourself into thinking you are better than you are?

Or, beating yourself up for thinking you are worse than you are?

When you look at yourself in the mirror, what do you THINK?

And I’m not talking about the aesthetics of what you SEE, what you might or might not like.

But, when you look deep into your eyes.

Are you proud of the person you are right now?

Proud of the person that you are looking to become?

Or do you avoid eye contact with yourself?

With that deep down feeling of knowing, you could be more than you are… you have the potential to be an even better version of yourself but for reasons (that you may or not know) you are holding yourself back.

I have been there.

Both ways.

Been able to look myself in the eye and be proud of who I am but also looking away, knowing I am deluding myself into thinking that I am being a better version of myself than I actually am.

It’s time to embrace that uncomfortable look and take that step towards self awareness. The process of taking a deep, hard look at yourself. Admitting, you have work to do.

But, be excited by that. And having that vision of who you could become and the astronomical impact that could have on others around you or even those who you might not even realise are watching from afar.

If you are in that space, reach out to me.

Triathlon might be a sport I coach but it’s actually the person I am interested in coaching.

Triathlon is a tool but not a pre requisite…

Give me a try.

I might be just what you need.

🇪🇸 BARCELONA 🇪🇸

Arrived ready for @barcelonatriatlo 👊🏻

Ferry ride was so easy... Easier than hoping my bike box met weight arrived.

Now a couple of days to sit with my feet up and make sure I've got the top coffee spot found for @wendylaura99 (my mum 😊)

Cannot believe it's nearly go time again 🏁

WHAT AN ADVENTURE

Congratulations to XMiles athlete, Lydia Dant, on a brilliant return to triathlon at Challenge Mallorca.

Racing her first triathlon since suffering a DVT at the end of June, Lydia finished 6th female pro in 4:23, using the race as an important benchmark after a short build back into middle-distance racing.

With a fuelling plan built around Active Root, STYRKR, 226ERS, and Precision Fuel & Hydration, she maintained around 100g of carbohydrates per hour on the bike and 90g per hour on the run, with consistent energy throughout.

A hugely positive return and plenty of confidence to take into the rest of the season.

🏁 @chmallorca YOU WERE SOMETHING SPECIAL 😍

P6 and what a race experience to remember!

My race goal: to go out there, make myself proud and love every second of it! Nailed 😁

As a step back into racing, this was a super honest course to test what the last block of training has resulted in.

So happy with what I have learnt from this one!

This race is easily up there as one of the BEST race experiences to date. It was a massive festival for the whole weekend, next level atmosphere!

Massive thanks to @jorgecwilkes.tri, @lanza_iron and @jo_wilkes123 for the amazing support this weekend. Was next level.

Cannot wait to take what I have learnt from this one into @barcelonatriatlo next weekend.

And most importantly, thank you to the 650 volunteers from local clubs and groups that gave up their day, to support the race 😲

Loving the @challengefamily race experiences - beyond athlete centric!
