POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

in this post I will share joys of city life juxtaposed with joys of a country visit. riches means having access to both, in loving company.
.
you can be both the city & the country mouse. remember: you contain multitudes. wade in.

🍂 Gichi-gami exploration. I have found that NOTHING compares to all the joy found in relationship with a giant body of water! 💧
.
Great joy also found in a wondertastic best buddy who shares reverence & awe for this wild environment in which we find ourselves 🌎

Ten thousand roads
I’ve walked on my own
Further I go
I’m closer to my ghost
.
Experiencing Mon Rovia’s art next to someone I deeply, closely loved out my values with while the gov’t was stomping its heavy foot on us was transcendent & healing. Also this was the year that I figured out that one concert per year is the right amount now 👴🏼

Over the past few months I’ve had the joy of compiling the poetry & prose of neighbors together in this little bilingual booklet complete with a journal & reflection section.
.
Thanks to Springboard for the Arts there will be 1,000 copies in the hands of neighbors.
.
I’ve never been entrusted with a grant or completed a project like this from start to finish before - it’s been an empowering experience.
.
My north star is, & always has been, that our interior worlds are guiding us whether we heed them or not. So why not tend to them? Why not crack them open to the light, the world, & comb through the weeds & blossoms of rich fruit in order to find our way to new depths of connection within & without?
.
Central neighbors - enjoy🙏🏼✨

Today I left the 2 mile radius of my home for the first time in 15 days. Recovering from (minor) surgery is forcing me to stay put & root.
.
This is by far the most well resourced neighborhood I’ve lived in & I just keep thinking how everyone deserves to live in close proximity to so many beautiful flowers & multiple green spaces.
.
If we’re going to get baked alive let’s look at the flowers & trees while it happens 🫠😅

✨🌳🤘🏻long live SOUTHSIDE🤘🏻🌻✨
It is humbling to live in a place that is teaching the entire country how to create the safety & joy you want to see in the world. I am so lucky to be a part of it.
.
Wherever you are, organize & create your own reality!
And above all - resist ✊🏻
