Crafting Resilience: a movement & journaling workshop *IN PERSON OR LIVESTREAM
SUNDAY | MAY 4 | 4:30-6p
Sliding Fee: $25-35

This workshop will provide opportunities to facilitate the movement of stress and fear through the body using a combination of yoga and journaling. We will use yoga and somatic techniques to process the heavy energies we are carrying in our bodies as a result of our environment, and we will practice releasing these energies and harnessing them for rejuvenation.

Be prepared to move gently, write as much as is useful for you and energetically connect with yourself and others. After our time together, you will be revived for your important and unique work in the world.

loving our bodies is optional, it’s not even necessary. what I wish for us, however, is to love the experiences we have while in our bodies. I wish good sensations over & over. I wish constant overwhelming washings of joy & peace. I wish cozy sensations, sensations of all manner of pleasure & delight. I wish experiences as good as our good bodies are.

I’m steadily gaining weight as I age. hairs are turning gray. tummy is pooching out. okay. the experiences are only getting better.
.
life on my terms = living from *inside* my body looking out, not imagining from the outside how my body looks.

"It is our duty to fight for our freedom.

It is our duty to win.

We must love each other and support each other.

We have nothing to lose but our chains.”

-Assata Shakur

As it is our duty to fight for our physical (body) freedom, it is our duty to fight for our mind's, and spirit's freedom. Experiencing what it is to be awake to truth can honestly be a chaotic feeling. When the desire you have to free others from the chains of ignorance burns brighter than any man made flame, it can be frightening to others who can only feel the heat. So they try to contain it, they try to put it out, extinguish it.

We know this of @dawnski_ 's experience as she is bold, her flame burns deep, and the truth she unapologetically speaks feels hurtful to those of us who are still in bondage. But it is from nothing more than a place of self love and that love overflows in a way that wishes to cover us all.

I see her, I appreciate her, and I support her.

Therefore, @lightandlotusyoga and ally @loveyogalr are coming together to pour love and light into our sister. This yoga offering is for everyone who wishes to do the same for Dawn and for themselves.

Donation based, all funds will be forwarded to Dawn and family.

🧡☀️🌺
