I took this jorts from @e_sakastitches to Kibera and let the environment tell the story.

I decided no studio, no perfect background… just real Nairobi. The boda bodas, the car wash, the muddy ground, the structures, people going about their normal day and me right in the middle of it, doing what I love daaammnn.

All i wanted was this shoot to feel raw, real and different. And honestly, I love how everything came together.
And YESSS… the jorts Made from scratch and styled my way. Simple piece, but look at the whole vibe!

I’m looking for more creatives, designers, streetwear brands and businesses who are ready to create something different with me.

Fashion doesn’t always need a perfect background. Sometimes the realest stories are found in the places we least expect.

There’s something about my locs and my smile that feels so much like me.

My locs remind me that beautiful things take time to grow, and my smile reminds me that even through everything, there’s still so much joy in me. I’ve watched my locs change, grow, and become a part of who I am, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

KIBERA TOLD ME TO SMILE, SO I DID

Shot around Fort Jesus, Kibera where the walls speak louder than words.

People think Kibera is just mabati and dust, but come closer. It's color. It's art. It's photographers with Canon cameras on dusty ground, girls with beaded locs and red caps posing like it's Paris Fashion Week, and laughter that cuts through everything.

I came for a shoot, I left with joy. My locs were beaded, my belt was shining, my boots were dusty, and my soul? My soul felt so at home.

We don't need perfect backgrounds to look beautiful. We ARE the art.

I had denim… so I put denim on denim.

Jorts on the legs.
Half jacket on the top.
And somehow… it makes sense.
