What a blessing to be your granddaughter, to receive your boundless love, to laugh with you and learn from you, to have you as my inspiration. What a gift to spend your last days with you and our family, hearing your stories and infectious laugh - always finding joy even in the face of challenges. You have lived life to the fullest until the very end and will continue living in each of us who have had the luck in this life to know you. I’ll see you in each cardinal, alongside grandpa, and talk to you every day. Love is never lost, it only changes forms 💖 by @lyndspenn

Life brought some unexpected heaviness this weekend, along with a change of plans. And somewhere in the midst of navigating it all, we decided to take a spontaneous family road trip to the big wooden slide and spend the day exploring Frederick, MD. 🍂

There have been plenty of times in my life when I’ve chosen to disconnect from difficult emotions. To push them aside, carry on, and unknowingly carry them with me.

But this weekend was a beautiful reminder of how far I’ve come in practicing what I preach.

There’s an idea that the initial wave of an emotion can move through our bodies in as little as 90 seconds when we allow ourselves to actually feel it rather than resist it. Of course, that doesn’t mean sadness or grief disappears in 90 seconds…but it reminds us that emotions are meant to move, not be tucked away and silently carried.

This weekend, I let myself feel the sadness. I sat with the uncertainty. I made space for all of it without needing to change it or make it go away.

And then somewhere in that allowing, I found my way to loving acceptance. Not because the circumstances had changed, but because my relationship to them had.

And from that place, I was able to be fully present for the joy, laughter, and simple magic of a beautiful fall day with my family.

It felt like a beautiful reminder that we don’t have to choose between feeling the heaviness of life and experiencing its beauty. There’s room for both. 🤎 by @lyndspenn

There's this thing with Motherhood

A burst of creativity has come through after Dolly and Gloria's passing
It's like our world lost their energy,
leaving a space for all of us to fill it in.
Their legacy reminds us
we all have that potential. by @lyndspenn

Grateful to have been on the earth as the same time as Dolly 🦄 by @lyndspenn

I have a theory.

If more people felt free to express their unique gifts and live in alignment with who they truly are, the world would be a more peaceful place.

The challenge is that this path isn’t always easy. Expectations. Conditioning. Success. Responsibility. Other people’s opinions. Somewhere along the way, it’s easy to lose touch with the quiet voice that has been there all along.

Ten years ago, near the height of my media career, I realized the path I was on wasn’t actually mine.

That realization led me down a road of study, practice, and deep curiosity through the Yoga Studies program at Loyola Marymount University @lmuyogastudies , my years at Meditation Mount @meditationmount , astrology with Debra Silverman @debrasilverman_astrology , an immersive year of Source Code with @drsamrader , and the privilege of supporting entrepreneurs and executives as they navigate pivotal transitions.

Through all of it, I discovered my own throughline.

Not a destination, but a way of helping people reconnect with their inner knowing so they can create an outward life that truly reflects who they are.

I’ve been quietly building something that brings all of these threads together.

More soon. 🤍

Feeling this full moon in all the ways 🌕

So grateful to have held this magical space with @pbakerrabe in Ojai 🪄 by @lyndspenn

For a long time, I thought I had lost this part of myself.

Today I stopped on a run to soak up the sun coming through the trees. ☀️ And I realized just how much has changed.

After having kids, I took years off from running. Moving my body intentionally has become one of those little shifts that’s brought me back home to myself, and to this new version of me born through motherhood.

Movement has always been part of who I am - from childhood sports to college field hockey, a half marathon, adult rec leagues (shout out to Zog!), and eventually yoga, which became the moving meditation that carried me through seasons of mental illness and burnout.

After having my first child in 2022, I developed pelvic floor issues that kept me from doing the very thing that had always helped me feel like myself. Living in California, far from family with high childcare costs, I put treatment on the back burner because I didn’t have the time or the money. It wasn’t until I was pregnant with my second child and in significant pain that I finally sought out pelvic floor physical therapy. Dr. Megan Miller at Discover Pelvic Health & Wellness in Camp Hill helped me work through an overactive pelvic floor and truly changed my life.

As it turns out, my experience isn’t unusual. While meeting with leaders from Penn State Health’s Maternal Mental Health Coalition on behalf of @thenest_ofpa, we talked about two of the biggest barriers many mothers face: pelvic floor dysfunction and access to childcare. In fact, up to one in three women experience a pelvic floor disorder within the first year after giving birth, yet so many suffer in silence or assume it’s just part of becoming a mom.

I’m so grateful to have received the care I needed to move my body again, tend to my mental health postpartum, and find both professional and peer support along the way.

It’s also a powerful reminder of why the work we’re doing at @thenest_ofpa matters so much. Every parent deserves access to trusted resources, community, and support—not just to get through parenthood, but to truly thrive. Just imagine what can happen when parents have the support they need to flourish. ✨ by @lyndspenn
