𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐩 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐧

A gnawing feeling. A downward spiral. A Gordian knot. Linearity collapsed long ago. Words. Images. Morphing, melting, shredding, threading. A story? A narrative? A truth, an untruth? Who can decipher meaning? Who can see when their eyes are veiled, can hear when their ears echo what isn’t there?

Aeinn and Eminn take the stage inviting the audience to listen in on their Taurine-fuelled symposium like flies on the wall. A wild concoction of memories and impressions, Norse mythology and current conspiracies, performance and slideshow: A scripted, non-linear, brief spectacle.

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙶𝚞𝚊𝚛𝚍𝚒𝚊𝚗
𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙹𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜

The reading performance tells of the journeys of Ae and Em. Em, held captive in a digital mirror world, is on their quest to find a way to return and Ae, who finds themself more and more disoriented in a world that resembles ours, only to become increasingly distorted until overturned entirely.

The performance is accompanied by a soundscape composed by Christopher Schmidt. @heartcontainermusic

In the process of this project and an everyday of horror, we’ve been thinking through what it means to make and to present work. We stand in solidarity with the Palestinian, pro-Palestinian and Jewish voices who continue to be denied space.

𝐼 𝒮𝒶𝓎 𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒩𝒶𝓂𝑒 was performed at Ballhaus Ost as part of In The Vault by Presentation Club on November 8 2025 𖥔 ݁ ˖༘⋆𐦍⊹₊ ⋆｡˚

‘you’ve got that look, love!’ the man sitting on a bench swings his beer towards me in a cheers as i pass by.
‘i know you!’ the woman serving me meatballs at ikea exclaims, before she sings a full verse of the song at me.
‘you know who you look like?’ the man at the pharmacy asks as he hands me my cyst cream. we say her name in unison.
in the bar line, a hand gently starts stroking my head before a man leans closer and whispers in my ear:
‘you look like a million dollars…like her.’

she’s on my mind. as i’m walking past a dark window on the street one night, i sense a shadow following along in the uber on my way home from a restaurant, a second set of eyes are looking back at me in the rearview mirror. as i leave my flat early in the morning, a familiar head glows up under a street lamp

it’s evening in my room. candle lights flicker in a circle around me on the floor as i stand before the full-length mirror, sizing myself up and down. i turn my head to the right. to the left. chin up, chin down.
i look myself in the eyes, and say her name three times.

i close my eyes…

i take a breath…

☁️ Performing April 12 @kwinstitutefcontemporaryart Pogo Bar, 9pm

'WARP' (2024) is the first act of a reading performance. It takes us on the journeys of Ae and Em, who find themselves in worlds that are separate but joint, wandering from one place and time to another. Em, held captive in a digital mirror world, is on their quest to find a way to return, and Ae, who finds themself more and more disoriented in a world that resembles ours, only to become increasingly distorted until it is overturned entirely. Each on their own quest, the two protagonists navigate surreal landscapes where reality bends and twists at every turn, the digital and the physical, the realistic and the fantastical warp. The performance is accompanied by a soundscape composed by Christopher Schmidt.

When the systems we inhabit close in on us, can we hold space in the stories we tell each other?
