Every time I take a break from social media, I feel this resistance coming back. It starts to feel like we’re performing… or trying to fit into a version of ourselves we created online.
But we’re always evolving. And social media may capture pieces of that growth, how do we show both the light and the dark without it feeling like we’re seeking attention or validation?
Who are you when no one is watching?
What do you pour into when there’s less screen time?
Are we here to truly connect… or just curate a life from one angle?
Are we watching to judge, or to feel inspired?
I question what I share and how I show up. My intention is always that someone lands here and feels lighter, inspired… maybe even seen. If anything, I hope to be a mirror that reminds you of your own growth.

Anyways, all that to say… I may stay. I may leave.
But I hope you take the time to reach out and truly connect with the people you watch every day. by @maarialeeg

Side note: I used to think sharing my poetry was sooo cringe (part of me still does) but honestly it’s always been my favorite style of writing and I just want to put more of it out there even though I look back on a lot of them and question why I’m sooo emotional hahah but whatevaaa I’m an emotional lil being that either says too much or never enough. HA thank you for reading if you made it this far cause we all know this app is not for those with a long attention span so be proud of yourself :)

Booking a one way ticket to Colorado with no intention to stay and suddenly starting a whole new life simply reaffirmed that you don’t need to have it all figured out for it to work out. Was it scary? Maybe the thought of getting home sick or missing my friends but I was able to re-create a safe space for myself and make beautiful connections. Was it hard? I had moments of uncertainty but letting myself become comfortable with the uncomfortable led me to meet a whole new version of myself. So all this say, do it scared. do it even when you feel uncomfortable and you’ll see how doors with easily start to open up to reassure you that you’re exactly where you need to be.

Who knew leaving your home state could happen overnight¿ Little did I know that it’d be a one-way ticket to Colorado to never make it back “home” lol
To not think twice about it and completely surrender to the idea that there’s no wrong decision. Ya can’t fk up anything that’s actually meant for you :-)

note to my future self: We fkn did it and I’m so proud of you. This is exactly what happens when you don’t overthink a decision you made a long time ago out of fear of making the wrong one. Everything that led up to this moment was for us to seeee just how easy things are supposed to be when you let go of control and surrender to the flow. Eternally grateful for all the dark cracks that lead me to see the light in it all. This is also a reminder that what is shown online is mainly the light. It’s a glimpse of my life that I love sharing to inspire people to connect with Earth and explore more of it but it most certainly isn’t to make it seem like I have a perfect life. I strive for a balanced life not perfection. I am extremely blessed and divinely guided to these experiences but I can’t share the light without also acknowledging and giving thanks to the darkness that led me here too.
