1 month since India 🧡 what I haven’t shared, was what was happening from behind the scenes of the picturesque images and reels-the foundation, anchor, and inner journey myself and 9 other enlightening souls from around the world shared and cultivated with me. I’ve been following @vishuddhadas for 5 years now, and have always found his genuine, insightful teachings and wisdoms inspirational, so when I saw he was hosting a retreat in Rishikesh, I knew this was what my soul wanted to dive into. Most people think I went to India to do yoga, but the asana practice was not what I was seeking, the lineage of yoga I was heading in to practice was Dhyana-mediation, and an opportunity to study Vendata, ‘non dualism’ Hindu philosophy. We dove into lectures of ancient spiritual texts, discussing the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, The Atma Bodha, Tao Te Ching, and others. These studies translated directly into the vibrant energy, culture, and excursions of our entire experience, and I felt so beyond connected and drawn to its simplicity but straightforwardness of living truthfully, freeing your mind, and moving through suffering. I am still integrating in ways to bring these beautiful lessons into my day to day life, and also authentically share with my yoga students. Thank you universe and @vishuddhadas for this incredible experience and for every soul met on this journey, life is beautiful and meant to be lived, free, and loved. . . . . #philosophy #meditationretreat #indiatravel #rishikesh #trustyourintuition #bhagavadgita #yogastudy #yogateacher
