Shoutout to my amazing street team, who keep me laughing, motivated, and only slightly unhinged through all of this 😂🖤 You guys hype me up, keep me going, and make this whole author thing way more fun. A huge thank you to @wrenlockleyvo for bringing Blackshore to life in a completely new way through audio. Hearing these kids outside of my own head is still wild to me😂 And a thank you to @vo_joshleo , who’ll be joining the Blackshore world as the voice of the adult male characters in The Rising of Blackshore and The Curse of Blackshore audiobooks. And a BIG thank you to @j.d.setzer_author for giving the Blackshore series its gorgeous new covers and making my little fictional coastal nightmare look so damn good. And @kirsten.gg.78 — thank you for introducing me to so many incredible authors and helping me find even more of a community in this weird little book world🖤 Lastly, thank you to @magnum.magazine for reaching out and featuring me as a World’s Top 30 Women’s Leaders To Watch In 2026. I’m very lucky to have virtually met you guys. #indieauthor #thelegendofblackshore #darkfiction #piratefantasy by @macthetoker

🫂 📖 Buddy reading 𝑼𝒏𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒅 with @macthetoker was such a good idea! This was a hell of a ride and we each needed someone to yell at, but it gave us such joy. An asylum setting, Avery, and three MMCs who all bring their own brand of chaos? We were all in. I loved Theo from the moment he entered the story with all his psychotic, grumpy nonsense. Once this book got moving, it went FAST. I was already thinking about the next one. But that ending? We’re 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 mad. The third act breakup felt too sudden, especially after how intensely Grey fell for Avery. And Damon spent enough time complaining that we’re still deciding how we feel about him. Mac called it “the worst ending to a good book,” and honestly, I couldn’t agree more. We had a good time reading it together, but now we need book two to explain itself. ❓Have you read Unhinged? Were you yelling at the ending too?
