in october, i became a river rat and a flatland fan girl. friends got engaged and married. i took headshots for school and work, and wore a lot of royal blue. by @macy_tapp

september started with a cold plunge and finished holding newborns. jordan and i both started dream jobs, which meant he moved to big bend and i kept working nightshift. i learned how to swaddle babies and how to make sourdough. turns out, both bread and babies are more resilient than you think. by @macy_tapp

my family & friends spent the end of august supporting my dad as he prepared to race 100 miles to raise money for mental illness. my dad and i laughed a lot, and drank quite a bit of coffee. we called my mom to make fun of each other, and jokingly attempted to go viral for two weeks. this isn’t the post to tell you how incredible my dad is, because it’s simply not the right format. i’m endlessly proud of him, and thankful for his example in my life. in august, i was reminded that my dad is one of my oldest friends. he will stop to greet any dog he sees, always makes time for a cup of coffee or a bowl of cereal, will try new things if it’s for good, takes the long way if it means he gets a better view of the mountains, and has great capacity for his people. it’s a gift to be cared for by my dad, and it was an honor to care for him as his unofficial campaign manager. taken in Leadville, Colorado by @macy_tapp

in june, jordan and abby made dinner during a tornado and kimbal had his final show at casp. we shared meals with dear friends, and pet lots of good dogs. by @macy_tapp

in april, we officially said goodbye to the pistachio green walls, and still miss them today. we also celebrated so many good friends reaching milestones! by @macy_tapp

in march the girls got a house with a yard, i started working overnight, homebody had its first art show because of kimbal, and the backyard had its first guests

in february, we celebrated another year of jordan by skating laps around the rink with our friends, and i developed a strong dislike for snowboarding (after ripping my red estate sale pants and being shown up by kids in snow school)
