🙀Y’all know I’m humble, I don’t toot my own horn all that often. I’ll be the first to highlight my imperfections, and consider myself a full work in progress. But I’m no dummy. So -

Go ahead, tell me this isn’t G O R G E O U S 🥵

During my mindless COVID-insta-scrolling (I try to resist, but I had an excuse!), I found and binged some @angryreactions … like, a lot of it. (Given his 2 mill+ follower count, I’m guessing some of you can relate. If you can’t, check that amazing dude out).

➡️From here forward, when I see true gorgeousness, I have adopted Mr. @angryreactions full persona, and I mentally announce, in a booming, wonderfully-angry voice, “That’s G O R G E O U S.”

This is just an FYI - so you know when I’m really serious. Today, I am not playing, this cloud pour is even better in person.

Hope you enjoy this piece of fluid art as much as I do 🥰 To see a slower version of this paint pour, see my last reel, from Monday. To see and enjoy it forever and ever, DM me - it’s for sale!

👀 SNEAK PEEK SUNDAY🫣

I’ve been experimenting with a new spiral design, and no, it hasn’t been easy! I’m so used to doing my spirals from out-to-in (with the center mdesigned/poured last), this reverse method has definitely been a challenge! But, as several wise people have said in several different ways, anything worth having or doing is going to be hard. Now that I’ve gotten SEVERAL attempts in, and these are now looking more like the spirals I envisioned, I think it just might be worth all that extra effort 😉

So, for those of you who need to hear this today, when you try something new, it probably won’t come easy at first. These are not failures, but lessons that inform your next attempts. So keep going! It, and you, are worth it ❤️ Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek! I’ll keep you posted!

☁️🤩☁️🤩 Who guessed this was going to be a totally cloudy one? 🛎️ 🛎️ Ding, ding! This painting has had me chasing boulder clouds all week since, so I have a bunch of new pieces to share with you guys! I wish I could just dump ‘em all on you right now, but I’ll practice patience 😉

This painting makes me feel FREEDOM. That’s why I chose this dope new song from @anees - I believe it represents the same thing. When you have time this weekend, check him out and have a listen. I’m sure I’ll use this song again soon enough, because I’m loving it right now.

What or how does this cloud painting make you feel? 👇🏻

☁️CLOUD BREAK TIME ⌚️

I’ve been trying to take my cloud break for a few days, simply to get this reel posted 😬 Life just keeps showing up, doesn’t it? For me, sometimes the things that used to get done quickly and easily just aren’t as routine as I’d prefer them to be 😪 I still believe things are looking up, though 👆🏼

In fact, though I can’t always make the time to post, I do keep my creativity exercised by taking photos of the clouds each night at sunset. I can’t paint them right now, but Im grateful I can still enjoy them. For now, I’ll be COLLECTING INSPIRATION ☁️

Hope to see you again with another in a few days! Lots of clouds still sitting in my photo gallery, patiently waiting to be shared 😉

SOOO MANY layers 🙈

I’ve been pouring clouds for a couple of years now, almost as long as I’ve been fluid-arting. It took some time to find my own style and to decide that while my way isn’t exactly the same as others, that’s okay!

I like to layer as many colors as I can get away with. I think that’s what makes my cloud pours a little different. For now, it’s working for me ☺️

Do you tend to gravitate toward warm colors or cool colors? by @madacrylicart

SWIPE 👉🏽👉🏽FOR ALL 9️⃣👉🏽

IT’s MEME TIME! Or my personal fave, ART MEME TIME! I hope at least one of these makes you chuckle today 😉

Unless you’ve been taking a long summer’s nap, you’ve probably seen some of these classic Snoop reactions to the most shocking Olympics moments. I have a feeling these reactions will give us lots of great memes for quite a while. I was most inspired to create some for fluid art, after seeing a hilarious post by @mandalaartbymel , where she applied these to life as a dot/mandala artist. Thanks, Mel ❤️

So which of these, if any, do you identify with most? Better yet, can you think of any more??

DUH, I do love a good blooper 🙈

🤦🏻‍♀️. . . Except while it’s happening to me, of course. At least this one was fixable. Plus, we made some killer boulder clouds 🪨☁️

🖼️ I believe that we who share our creative processes and/or creations have a responsibility to share honestly. Truthful content. As consumers, none of us deserves to be misled.

So, at a minimum - - -
1️⃣ We (creators) should acknowledge that mistakes happen, and that this 💩 is rarely as easy as it looks.
But ideally - - -
2️⃣ If we can, we should attempt to show our blunders and struggles.

🗣️Listen, things don’t always go as planned. We all make a mistake at some point, particularly in fluid art, where so much is out of our control. These are angles that are helpful for our community to see. We’re all better for it. IN MY OPINION, of course 😉

💬Let’s continue this conversation below…
I’d love to know - Do you agree with me on this? Or am I maybe expecting too much?

🎞️ EVEN BETTER, if you do agree, I challenge you today to share a post or reel - be it this one or one from another creator/artist - that shows the “ugly” truth. Perhaps if these posts were given more positive attention, creators would be more eager to create and share them. Just a crazy thought I had 😉

Want to see more bloopers from ME?
After all, I have many.

😳 How’s that for a 🪝? Just trying to keep things exciting and less-predictable around here. Hopefully it doesn’t offend any sour or sensitive bellies ❤️‍🩹

This reel may have fit that hook, but truth be told, I’m not in love with this painting… LOVE the cloud development, no doubt about that! But I the final look isn’t totally my style.

Sooooo what to do? I COILD make it my style 😏 Some of those clouds are definitely cool enough to keep, and I think I have just the right embellishments in mind…

Any ideas? What might you do to change up this painting? I’d love to hear your ideas 👇🏻 ! There really are so many directions in which this could go…

Stay tuned!

Could this painting be improved with editing/changes? by @madacrylicart

🥳 Technically, this bday was over about 100 minutes ago…. But my rule book says it’s not over til my head hits that pillow, so I still have about… 8 minutes to go 🥱

I love birthdays, just not usually my own. But for my kiddo, I fake it pretty good. We both thought it would be nice to celebrate myself by picking out some favorite creations from this past year. And I actually enjoyed it!

It’s been a crappy year, definitely one of the worst. But I’m working my bootie off to make good changes, and there’s really nothing I can’t do, if I care enough to try.

I’m certain this year will be better. Thanks for sticking it out with me ❤️ Night, night 😴💤 by @madacrylicart

🤪My funky, cellulicious cloudy spiral 🌀

👇🏻THE BOTTOM LINE👇🏻

The best paint pours are often totally unplanned. “Happy accidents”. I’ve become a broken record on this topic, because time and time again, my last-resort pour gives me something super-unique. And the process is SO opposite how I normally create.

I refuse to end the night without SOMETHING that doesn’t waste paint, a canvas, and/or my time. So after some fails, usually when the sun is threatening to pop up and surprise me, I push myself into crazy mode. I’m immediately relaxed, but also adrenalized. Here’s the gist…

🫗I quickly layer a cup without planning colors.
🫗I blindly pick a random canvas.
🫗 I pour quick and crazy.
🫗I try new designs, I spin silly-fast, and I don’t take time thinking about that tilt or final composition, I just do it. Fast, before I can overthink.

I call these CRAZY-CUP POURS. And for me, they work. I’ve never scraped, poured over, or regretted a crazy-cup pour. I love the results.

This 👈🏽 crazy one may not be for everyone, and that’s OK! For me, it was a great success, and that’s what it symbolizes for me. It tells me I can overcome challenges/fails by DOING instead of OVERTHINKING. This painting reminds me to get out of my damn head.

I wish I could be spontaneous more often. I’m trying… I’m a work in progress 🥴

Let me know below (by answering the poll or commenting) how you 🫵🏼 feel about this painting. Lay it on me, I’m genuinely curious ❤️

🤤 ☁️ Nuff said . . .

I want to thank you guys for showing this one so much love ❤️

#Fluidart #cloudpour #cloudart #paintpouring #abstractart #satisfyingvideos #acrylicart by @madacrylicart

☁️HOLY fluffy, yummy clouds, Batman 🤩

So, not being able to paint right now royally sucks. BUT - it’s made me focus on going through old videos more. I do that primarily because I have a TON of videos I haven’t yet shared, but also because watching the paint spill makes me feel better. It gives me back some of that missing dopamine.

And oooooh was the dopamine a-flowing when I found this one! I freaking love fluid art. How does this beauty develop?? I sometimes feel guilty taking credit for it. I think I’m more the messenger than the creator, in times like this.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on these clouds, though! Aren’t they delish? by @madacrylicart
