Chicago meets Brooklyn 🍸🍶

Madang Drinkery is taking over the brewery with cocktails featuring Hana Makgeolli and flavors inspired by cold kimchi noodles, banana uyu, ssanghwacha, and red bean walnut cake.

Madang will provide the cocktails, and Hana will have the regular anju menu. Come hungry, stay for a cocktail or two, and spend Sunday with us! 🍜🍌✨

hey we missed you last Sunday for Madang’s one year!

we had a new drink & some oldie but goodies, cut Madang’s birthday cake, had a little toast and got to see so many friends. genuinely such a good night.

It’s somehow been a full year since our first pop-up, so we’re celebrating with good drinks, good food, music, birthday cake, and a room full of friends.

Some of our first ever guests turned favorite regulars are taking over Charis! Tuesday August, 11 from 5pm - 9pm @madang.chi will bring their thought provoking, delicious, and just darn fun approach to cocktails to our little Bridgeport home.

What is Madang?

In Korean, “madang” means courtyard — a gathering place for food, drinks, and shared memory. Embracing this ethos Simon Yun and Michelle Lee transform familiar flavors like kimchi, honeydew, and goguma into intentional, balanced drinks inspired by Korean and Asian American dishes.

To everyone who came out, waited in line, shared a drink with us, posted about us, or stopped by to say hello—thank you.
Six pop-ups later, we never imagined we’d be surrounded by so many familiar faces.

Huge thank you to @perillafare for inviting us to celebrate your 7th anniversary. We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of such a special milestone.

Thank you for believing in two people chasing an idea, for introducing your friends to us, for trusting us with your evening, and for giving our drinks a chance. It brings us closer to our dream of opening a Korean-American cafe & cocktail bar in Chicago.
