Onda Luxe Jiu Jitsu escape
Lagos, Portugal
6-12 October 2025
⬇️
It’s rare to find a BJJ retreat/experience/getaway that is managed and wholeheartedly invested in by the actual black belt teaching on the mat.
This isn’t to take away from other retreats at all, just to let you know that joining this retreat, you will be looked after and fully engaged with the black belt throughout!
🥋
This is a boutique escape that promises high level BJJ, plenty of adventure in and out of the water, luxury accommodation, great food and a good dose of the Portuguese sunshine!

The amount of outings this @snuggwetsuits wettie top has had teaching my other kids @bootleg.tapess and @ned.tiscoe right back when they were small, blows my mind! And here I am doing it all again….the wipeouts and tears, my broken back, standing around getting cold😂😂 but it’s a privilege and it’s priceless, and I know it will be embedded in his DNA forever!

Super excited to be offering my first underwater fitness session down here in Lagos in the Algarve on Wednesday 9th April at midday.
I’m using the skills I’ve learned as a qualified @deependfitness instructor alongside @deependengland and combining it with 20 years coaching experience and a number of years training myself in preparation for big wave surfing.
I have limited space for this first session, booking is essential!
DM me to get your name down 🙌

#superhappy by @maddicam

My heart will never be the same 💔 but you brought me happiness in a friendship I will cherish for a lifetime.
You always opened your arms to so many to be your friend. What a privilege that was.

My earliest memory is our first day at school and you mistaking me for another Maddie 🙂 I had the best years of my life spent having fun growing up with you. The sleepovers, the DMCs, countless family parties, holidays together, Girls Aloud. There for my biggest highs and lows. You gave the best advice with no judgement, always there to listen. I’m still waiting for your thesis on Britney ❤️

You will always be a total babe, hilarious, the biggest champion for others, with the most generous spirit. So kind and so loving, I’ll be sure to talk about you & to keep learning from you forever.

A piece of my heart will always be with you @siharris87 Fly high superstar & keep shining bright xxx by @maddicam
