Friday morning class was a great opportunity to train outside. Beautiful late October sun and a warm breeze rustling through at @mandala_sagres Who would love to feel this vibe in a training vacation? Did you spot the sauna? #sagresjiujitsu #bjjportugal #brazilianjiujítsu #algarve by @sagresjiujitsu
Nice to have a contribution from our visiting black belt Stefan. Stefan was the guy who first introduced Jiu Jitsu to our teammate @aka_zosch so it was an honour to have him visit! #sagresjiujitsu #brazilianjiujítsu #mandalasagres #sagres by @sagresjiujitsu
Brand new @dollamurflexirolleurope mats at our small club at the end of the world. A beautiful training environment at @mandala_sagres just got better! #sagresjiujitsu #bjjportugal #mandalalife by @sagresjiujitsu
Being a healthy representative for Jiu Jitsu just seemed to arrive in my life as a responsibility I wasn’t looking for. When I started Jiu Jitsu I was late to the party like a lot of people I meet today, and I just found it after battling a few difficulties in my personal life, and I was looking for something with a different direction, consistency and demands. Now I find myself with 2 clubs in different countries and 3 affiliates. I have students from hugely varied backgrounds and multiple nationalities. I thrive with this diversity, I think it’s what makes life interesting. My recent trip to the uk to visit my students there and catch up with my teacher was a great inspiration and reminder for me about the importance of doing some things just for service. What strikes me hardest in life though is when other people, who know very little about your work, expect that they can dictate when and how you should provide service. #surfmyworld #brazilianjiujítsu #sagresjiujitsu #northshorejiujitsu by @sagresjiujitsu
First session at @mandala_sagres The feedback was great, the warm welcome from Ali and his team was perfect, I think this venue has to be one of the best places I have positioned any of my Jiu Jitsu team. We are really excited about how things will develop moving forward! #sagresjiujitsu #bjjportugal #sagres #mandalalife by @sagresjiujitsu
The last session at the ASI shop today. It was about a year ago that my friend @noelcorston77 introduced me to @sergiowu5 and proposed an idea of me bringing Jiu Jitsu to Sagres. It wasn’t my original intention on moving to Portugal, but it felt right at the time, and I think we have laid the foundation of something incredibly special for the years to come. We are now moving to @mandala_sagres and this seems like a great opportunity to elevate things and immerse in another part of the Sagres community. We start this coming Monday with kids class at 17:30 followed by adults at 18:30 #sagresjiujitsu #bjjportugal #surfmyworld by @sagresjiujitsu
