10 years of you sweet boy

many many things have changed, but many things haven’t

you still don’t love posing for pictures (and neither do i)
you still hate getting your face washed
you still give a big tail flick with every lead change
you still always point that right front foot
and you still have my back, even when i thought i didn’t need anyone. i’ve always needed you

i don’t know where i end and you begin, i only know we are forever intertwined through every action and every thought

REVELATION // forever my muse, forever the biggest piece of my soul, and forever my Buddy

for me, this moment was filled with more sweetness than I could ask for. it’s been a few years since Bud has had the chance to compete, and with him growing older every year, I wasn’t sure how many chances we’d have left to let him do what he loves most.
it was a blessing to be by his side and cheer on him and his current leaser, and I can’t help but remember every moment that has led us to this point.
on this day, he was young and full of power and anticipation, and I wonder if I reflected my younger self too; nervous to make mistakes, uncertain, but competitive. we have grown into who we are today alongside each other, and I feel so much gratitude for the story we’ve written together.

in many ways these images reflect none of that, but in other ways, that’s all they are. they are my familiarity, my unwavering understanding, and my continued adoration for the equine that I get to call my own.

what a day this was; I feel so grateful to have been there and to see him shine. thank you from the bottom of my heart to those who made this possible and continue to care for him like one of your own.

officially wrapped up my time as a scad bee the other week, and i feel so overwhelmed with gratitude.

four years ago i made the decision to come to scad while guidance counselors and school teachers told me i shouldn’t, that it would be a waste, and that i should pursue something more “legitimate”. how thankful i am to have trusted my gut…
i will forever be a bee, through and through, and continue to defy expectations as scad bees tend to do. thank you scad equestrian, scad photo, and every mentor, professor, friend, and pony, for opening up my world. there will never be enough words ✨🐝
my biggest thank you to ancho, for spending the morning with me to take these pictures, and to my darling @taylorfoxx_66 for capturing it so beautifully. i will cherish them and the memory of these years forever 💓

One last ride ✨🐝

I don’t have the right words to share my gratitude for my time at nationals. coming home with a ribbon was the goal, and to do it alongside @ellaluhn back to back (for the third time!) sweetened the deal tenfold 💓

chella was the perfect horse for me, and I feel so thankful to have ridden him; he really let me shine and I can’t thank him and Hollins enough

nationals is always my favorite competition of the year, and I feel so lucky to have spent it with my family and bestest friends, doing what i love most. there will never be a feeling like this, and I will spend forever holding onto it. thank you all 🥺🐝🏆

gearing up for zones and feeling so grateful for these last few months with this wonderful team 🐝

feeling so thankful to my coaches, parents, and my to die for friends who cheered their lungs out and captured every second of this beautiful day.
