POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Maddy & Revelation | I don’t often find myself behind the camera for moments like these, which makes them all the more special! I’ve had the honor of knowing this duo over the years; so, when it came time to photograph them, I wanted to capture the connection that makes their partnership so special. As always thank you for entrusting me with capturing the two of you! To spend a day with you and Buddy is always a dream! <3

EQUUS COLORUM // ‘Clarado’, ‘Say No More’, ‘Revelation’, and ‘Cubanachi’ photographed for the Equus Colorum project in Old Westbury, NY🐎✨
-
in its first full year of growth, this project has mainly been about expanding horizons.
i’ve ventured across the east coast, meeting every kind of horse and human along the way, to gather as much variety as possible.
but this project is more than simply variety, it’s about individuals and the stories they carry with them, both two and four-legged. and i realized that some of those stories were allowed to be my own.
-
caden, oliver, buddy, and caspian came together for the first time around 10 years ago at a stable on long island. and their new owners, myself being one of them, were just starting to learn how to put the pieces together when it came to having your very own horse.
we’d ride late after school when it was already dark, we’d travel near and far on free weekends for horse shows, and we’d spend hours together in this shared space, simply connected by the horse.

but things changed, as they tend to do. the four horses were separated, some sticking together on long island, some traveling out of state to attend college. some competing, some semi-retired, some taking on a step down job. as their owners lives changed, so did theirs.
but then something special happened. the four horses were reunited in late 2024, back on long island, with their owners still at their sides.
-
now these four boys don’t look how they did back in 2017, but neither do their owners. the eight of us have all evolved in ways we couldn’t have predicted, but the relationships we formed would always remain, near and far.

i’ve been told it’s incredibly unique that all four of us have remained on the same horses we purchased in high school, and maybe that’s true. but i can’t imagine it being any other way. these horses are our hearts and souls; our forever partners.
-
for the love of the horse, the people we become alongside them, and the relationships we foster along the way, always.

onwards 💓🐎

REVELATION // forever my muse, forever the biggest piece of my soul, and forever my Buddy
-
for me, this moment was filled with more sweetness than I could ask for. it’s been a few years since Bud has had the chance to compete, and with him growing older every year, I wasn’t sure how many chances we’d have left to let him do what he loves most.
it was a blessing to be by his side and cheer on him and his current leaser, and I can’t help but remember every moment that has led us to this point.
on this day, he was young and full of power and anticipation, and I wonder if I reflected my younger self too; nervous to make mistakes, uncertain, but competitive. we have grown into who we are today alongside each other, and I feel so much gratitude for the story we’ve written together.
-
in many ways these images reflect none of that, but in other ways, that’s all they are. they are my familiarity, my unwavering understanding, and my continued adoration for the equine that I get to call my own.
-
what a day this was; I feel so grateful to have been there and to see him shine. thank you from the bottom of my heart to those who made this possible and continue to care for him like one of your own.

a revelation he truly is

ZONES// I’m thrilled to share the first series of graphics celebrating the individually qualified Zones competitors! 🐝✨

These athletes fought hard against some of the toughest schools in the country to earn this opportunity, and I wanted the design to reflect that sense of confidence and pride.

While the motifs are primarily typographic, there’s a subtle tribute to Savannah’s history woven throughout. I incorporated the iconic Savannah grid, a key part of the city’s legacy, to symbolize both the fact that Zones is being held at our home arena and the deep pride we have in our school and its roots.

I can’t wait to share more of my favorite graphics from this season, and I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do!

Halfway done 🔜 junior year!

Feeling so grateful for this amazing team, close friends, and the mentors who made this year so notable.
Many thanks to my coaches @scadequestrianteam and @sammy_perl, and my professors @horsechick316 and @dressagelifter, and of course, the horses~ I’ve grown so much because of all your guidance.

Sophomore year highlights:
🥈in my first IHSA flat class on Bon Bon
🏅Strong practices + rounds leading up and at ANRC with Ancho aka Rolling Stone
📐 Designing barn blueprints and business plans
🐴 Building a partnership with Camaro V through groundwork + under saddle both in Training and Ride class
…and much more. However these highlights don’t include all the memories made in between and those who made it memorable 🐝💛

Missing my seniors already~ excited for your next steps

the last four years at scad were the most amazing and most challenging four years of my life. there were so many moments i contemplated dropping out, or thought maybe this wasn't for me. on top of the bad moments were all of the good moments. times that reminded me to keep going and that this was the right choice for me. scad has given me lifelong friends, and so much more. i'm so incredibly grateful for the time i spent here and will forever hold savannah close to my heart.

i love this city and all the memories i have tied to it. i love this school and all the friends ive met here.

thank you savannah and @scaddotedu for the most amazing, unforgettable four years.

until next time.
