Now, with Maddy K Hospitality, we’re bringing that expertise to businesses in the event world as both a hospitality consulting firm and creative agency.

This. 🤍

We spend so much of our lives working towards something.

Building businesses. Raising families. Chasing goals. Planning for the future. Always thinking about what’s next.

And somewhere along the way, we forget that the life we’re working so hard to build is the very life we’re supposed to be enjoying.

I’ve spent years believing that being busy meant I was being productive. That slowing down meant falling behind. That there would always be time to enjoy everything later.

But here’s what I’m learning…

There will always be another project. Another deadline. Another client. Another goal to reach.

But there won’t always be another summer with our children at this age. Another sunset in this exact moment. Another opportunity to simply be present.

Success means very little if we’re too busy to enjoy what we’ve built.

So here’s to working hard, dreaming big, and knowing when to put it all aside.

Because life isn’t something we’re preparing for.

It’s happening right now. 🤍

Anyone else learning to slow down a little?

The art of getting away🌴

There’s something about stepping away from the everyday that reminds you just how beautiful life can be.

Slower mornings. Golden sunsets. New places to discover. Long conversations over dinner. And those little moments that somehow become the memories we treasure most.

I’ve always believed that travel is one of life’s greatest luxuries. Not simply because of where it takes us, but because of how it makes us feel.

And sometimes, all it takes is a few days away to come back feeling completely renewed.

A long weekend. A spontaneous escape. A destination you’ve always dreamed of visiting.

Life is too short to keep putting those experiences on hold.

Go somewhere beautiful. Make the memories. Collect the moments.

And here’s your little reminder that at Atelier Evadēa, we’re here to help you do just that. 🤎

From weekend escapes to extraordinary holidays, we thoughtfully curate your travels so you can spend less time planning and more time enjoying.

Because your time away should feel like a vacation, not another thing on your to-do list.

✈️ Dreaming of your next escape? Send me a DM and let us take care of the details.

Now tell me… where in the world would you love to escape to next? 🌎

When women open doors for other women, extraordinary things happen. 🤎

There is something incredibly powerful about women who don’t just talk about supporting one another, but actually put those words into action.

And that is exactly what WIW is all about.

The vision behind this beautiful initiative belongs to Andrea, a woman who understands that true empowerment isn’t about how far we can go on our own, but how many women we can bring along with us.

Andrea created WIW with the intention of bringing women together, encouraging meaningful connections, creating opportunities and opening doors that might otherwise remain closed.

And when she invited me to come on board for this edition, I was genuinely delighted. Not only because I believed in what she was building, but because her invitation was, in itself, a reflection of everything WIW stands for.

Women making room for other women. Women sharing opportunities. Women choosing collaboration over competition.

Hosted in the beautiful setting of The Retreat at Rennaï, the gathering was filled with wonderful conversations, new connections and the kind of energy that reminds us why community matters.

A special thank you to Taline from @leportrait.ca who beautifully captured the women in attendance, giving each of them a moment to feel seen, celebrated and confident in front of the camera.

Because at the end of the day, there is room for all of us to succeed. And the women who understand that are the ones who truly change the game.

Here’s to Andrea, to WIW, and to every woman who chooses to hold the door open rather than close it behind her. 🤎

And ladies, let’s keep the connections going!

If you were at WIW, I invite you to introduce yourself in the comments! Tell us who you are, what you do and what you’re passionate about.

And to everyone reading, take a moment to discover these incredible women. Visit their profiles, follow their journeys, support their businesses and perhaps even make a connection of your own.

Because sometimes, the next door that opens begins with a simple introduction. 🤎

$108,000 raised. Countless lives touched. One community united by purpose. 💗

The MTAC Harvest Social was more than a gathering, it was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a cause that truly matters.

Thanks to the generosity of our incredible sponsors, event partners, donors, and everyone who joined us, we raised $108,000 in support of our Warriors. Every contribution represents hope, support, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of women facing breast cancer.

To every sponsor, partner, guest, and supporter who helped bring this event to life: thank you for standing with our Warriors. Your generosity, trust, and compassion make this mission possible.
Together, we continue to remind every Warrior that she is never alone.✨ by @maddykatelier

THE PRICE OF BEING THE BOSS 🖤

Everyone loves the idea of being a boss woman.

The independence. The freedom. The beautiful events. The recognition. The ability to call your own shots.

But let’s talk about the part that doesn’t make it onto Instagram.

The decisions you have to make when there is no one else to make them.

The sleepless nights wondering if you made the right call.

The responsibility of knowing that other people depend on the business you’ve built.

The friendships that change when you become the boss.

The people you invest in, believe in, and sometimes lose.

The constant pressure to be strong, confident, decisive, and composed, even on the days when you’re questioning absolutely everything.

And perhaps the hardest part? Realizing that being a good leader doesn’t mean everyone will like you. Sometimes doing what’s right for your business means disappointing people, setting boundaries, and being misunderstood.

I’ve been doing this for over two decades, and I can tell you one thing: being the boss is a lot less glamorous than it looks.

But here’s what I also know.
I wouldn’t trade the independence, the lessons, the growth, or the woman I’ve become through it all.

Because somewhere between the wins, the setbacks, the betrayals, the risks, and the countless times I’ve had to figure things out on my own, I’ve built something far more valuable than a business.

I’ve built a backbone.

And that, ladies, is something no one can take away from you. 🤎

Now, to every woman who’s built something of her own… what experience gave you your backbone? 🤎

I’d love to hear your stories. Because behind every strong woman, there’s a story of what it took to become her. 👇🏼

One year ago today, we celebrated a love story close to our hearts at the beautiful Willow Inn 🤍

Watching our very own Gracy marry Anthony made this day especially meaningful for the Maddy K Events team. When someone who helps bring so many beautiful celebrations to life gets her own moment, it’s something special - and the Willow Inn was the perfect setting for theirs.

Happy first anniversary, Gracy & Anthony! Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, and moments as beautiful as this one 🥂

Good morning, lovelies!!!! ♥️

Who remembers when we used to meet here every morning… you with your coffee, me with a whole lot to say? 🥹☕️

Some of you still stop me and tell me how much you miss reading those posts. And honestly? I’ve missed writing them.

As Instagram changed, I changed with it. More reels, more audio, more thinking about what would get seen… and slowly, slowly, less time for something I’ve always loved. Writing. Sharing. Having conversations with you about LIFE.

Then my son said, “Mamma, I miss reading your words.”

That stayed with me. ♥️

So this morning, I’m coming back to my words… and inviting you into their new home.

Introducing Good Morning, Lovelies — Musings by Maddy K, my new Substack!!!!

Faith, family, friendship, building a business, dreaming big, the beautiful parts of aging (and the not-so-beautiful parts 🙃)… and everything that happens in between.

The days I feel like I can do it all. The days I question everything. And the days I just want to get in my car, put on worship or country music, and enjoy my own company. (I actually love my alone time a bit too much 😏)

Me. My life. My reality. Whatever is on my heart… and in my head.

My first letter is called “Back to My Words.” And if you were one of the people who used to read me with your morning coffee, I hope we can pick up where we left off. If you’re new here, there’s a place for you too. 🥰

Read my first letter and subscribe for free through the link in my bio. Your next coffee can come with a letter from me. ☕️💌 (link in bio)

I have so much to tell you. And I can’t wait to share it all with you fully raw and unfiltered!!!
