Happy 2 year anniversary to my love, best friend, and ride or die adventurer ❤️‍🔥 by @madebymoubayed

When I moved to New York City 13 years ago, I didn’t know a soul and didn’t have a pot to piss in. Thankfully, Joe Lovett thought I was interesting enough to keep around, he gave me my start. He believed in me before I believed in myself, and he uplifted so many of us: coworkers, friends, and anyone lucky enough to cross his path.

Joe was family. A mentor. A man whose generous spirit touched everyone from close friends to colleagues even occasional strangers. He was and will always be a true New York legend.

I could go on and on (and I’m sure Joe would have loved that), but for now, I picture you in the sun, exactly where you belong, surrounded by the light you left behind. Sending love and condolences to Jim and the entire family. by @madebymoubayed

RIP to my beloved grandfather, Papa Samir. You lived an extraordinary life. From Alexandria, Egypt, to the Congo and Rhode Island your career as a doctor has touched the lives of so many around the world. Yet, more than your illustrious career and your remarkable encyclopedic knowledge, what I will remember most is your infectious smile, warmth and generosity that permeated every room you entered. May you sail off somewhere beautiful. by @madebymoubayed

NYC friends, I’m pleased to share that KEYS TO THE CITY, won the Brooklyn Film Festival!

This film has long escaped me and was left on the shelf for over 5 years, but when NYC was at its lowest point of the pandemic I decided to resurrect the project as a short. To say the least, revisiting the footage was cathartic. The themes of loss, change and hope explored through the personal narratives of our subjects are now framed in a new light. Although we may never see the pre-pandemic era of New York we captured again, KEYS TO THE CITY stands as a bold reminder that New York isn't dead.

I want to thank everyone who supported the film, our super talented team who helped bring this film to life and especially shout out our subjects who most likely still think I’m crazy. Link in bio. @geo_locksmith
