wow what an experience.

there are no words to describe the feeling of listening to these “Greatest Generation” WWII veterans’ stories and their fallen comrades’ stories. i cannot express how thankful i am that @bestdefensefoundation selected me to be one of their NEXTGEN students, this extraordinary opportunity has led me to lifetime of memories, lifelong friendships, and stories that i will pass on until i am no longer able.

as i accompanied veterans for their return to Normandy for the 80th anniversary of DDay, some for the first time since they stormed the beaches on June 6th, 1944 and some for their 16th return. the emotions were high and our hearts were so full knowing that we are not letting their stories go unheard. there is no better way of learning about history other than to understand it with those who EXPERIENCED it.

@bestdefensefoundation is an amazing organization and FAMILY, that i am proud to be apart of. they brought me to historic battlefields my great uncle once saw with his own eyes during the hardships of WWII and for that i will forever be grateful.

to those who have made it this far, always remember, never let their stories go silent and as BDF says we are “taking care of the ones who took care of us”
