Every year, my daughter literally has a 365-day countdown on her phone for her birthday.

She’s been wanting to see Hamilton live for months. I told her we were going on a date, but she had no idea where we were going.

And to make it even more special, she had no idea I got her the gift she’s always wanted.

I’m so grateful I get to make your birthday wishes come true and give you some of the things I never had growing up.

Watching you grow has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

I’m truly honored to have had the opportunity to capture GOTSCON 2026!

We’re so used to seeing pastors pour into their members and give so much of themselves to others. But these past three days were a beautiful reminder that pastors need to be poured into, too.

It was amazing to witness pastors gaining valuable knowledge, worshipping freely, connecting with one another, and most importantly, having fun on the final night!

What an honor to be in a room with over 150 pastors and First Ladies.

The Art of Foreground. 📸

Church photographers, sometimes the best way to get closer to your subject is to take a few steps back.

You’re surrounded by people. Use them to your advantage. Instead of putting your camera in someone’s face, stand beside them and use them as foreground while capturing someone 20–50 feet away. The result? A more natural, candid, and visually compelling shot.

Get creative with your foreground. Earrings, books, shoulders, silhouettes, even a shiny bald head 😂 Anything that adds depth and dimension to your frame.

I rarely shoot people just 2–5 feet away from me. Instead, I’m looking across the room, waiting for that perfect candid moment.

Foreground is one of the most underrated composition techniques in church photography. Learn to see it, use it, and watch your shots transform. 🔥
