Meet Casmene, our Mission Operations Director.

Casmene serves as an important bridge between Bel Lavi Foundation and Haiti, helping us build meaningful relationships, strengthen our partnerships, and make sure our mission stays connected to the communities we serve.

We’re incredibly thankful for her knowledge, experience, and especially her gift for building relationships and bringing people together. Her heart for the people of Haiti and her commitment to this mission make her an invaluable part of the Bel Lavi family.

Our Solar Energy class was a special addition to the Sustainability Camp curriculum, taught by @charlensdenson , and one that fit seamlessly into our vision for equipping young people with practical, sustainable skills.

Through our partnership with Tondive Endistri, a local Haitian business, students received real-world insight into solar energy, including how solar systems can be structured and implemented across the island.

This wasn’t just about learning how solar panels work. It was about helping students see how sustainability, technology, and business can come together to create solutions and opportunities within their own communities.

We’re grateful for partners who are willing to share their knowledge, expertise, and vision with the next generation.

What started as a sewing and upcycling class during Bel Lavi Foundation’s Sustainability Camp became something much bigger than we imagined.

Through the @saintfortbrand Sewing & Upcycling Class, children, and youth were given the freedom to create , to take simple materials, basic embellishments, and their own imagination and turn them into something uniquely theirs.

We saw the excitement. We saw the creativity. We saw the potential.

…so we decided we’re turning that seed into something permanent.

Bel Lavi Foundation, in partnership with SaintFort, is launching a Sewing Lab in Haiti.

“A future we are helping to build with our hands, our love, our resources, our prayers.

Maybe that is what Haiti gave me, not just fulfillment, but a glimpse.

A glimpse of what is possible when love is made tangible” @saintfortsaphyra

This summer, Saint Fort landed in Haiti 🇭🇹 to participate in Bel Lavi Foundation’s Sustainability Camp.

For three days, we shared the art of creation, allowing 43 students to play, explore, and master the skill of sewing. We made hat fascinators from cardboard boxes and tote bags from old T-shirts, transforming the things around them into something extraordinary.

I came thinking I was bringing something to them, but what unfolded was a beautiful exchange of love. They poured into me just as I had poured into them, offering prayers over my life and wishing me well.

What we came to give, we received tenfold. 🤍 Year 1 completed.

Want to be part of what’s next? 🇭🇹

Join us in our mission to secure 20+ sewing machines for the upcoming year, giving more children the opportunity to learn, create, and transform the world around them.

Every contribution brings us one stitch closer.

A vision became a reality. 🙏🏽

@bellavifoundation 2026 Sustainability Camp showed me just how needed these resources are and how much potential exists within our Haitian community.

The youth and young adults inspired me. Their energy, their dreams, and their willingness to learn reminded me why this work matters.

Not that I wasn’t before, but now I’m even more committed to bringing education, resources, and opportunities back to Haiti! It’s our duty to empower our youth and young adults to dream bigger and believe in what’s possible.

This mission is bigger than just one person, and I’m extremely thankful for the committed team that surrounds this mission and continues to help bring the vision to life.

The impact has only just begun. Now, we’re ramping up for 2027.

Bèl Bagay!! Bèl Lavi!!
