When @johnnyreidofficial and @mattymurray123 began writing MAGGIE, they set out to write a musical based on the story of a working class mother in Scotland, left to raise three boys on her own. As the musical developed, it became apparent that Maggie represented much more: an entire generation… not just women, and not just in Scotland… who learned that the promise of opportunity often went hand in hand with saying goodbye.
