We EXHALED 😮‍💨… and INHALED: joy, priceless wisdom, loud laughter, genuine connection, meaningful conversations, healing, peace, dancing, and nourishing food @carolinagirlcateringllc

A multi-generational sacred space of black women spanning from high school seniors to almost retired.

Having TCHS’ @tchsebonyclub there to serve made it even more special. These young ladies served with excellence, and one of them shared how inspired she was to see so many successful Black women in one room 🥹🤎.

Spent the afternoon this past Saturday with 50+ black women professionals celebrating sisterhood. It was empowering. It was healing. It was inspiring. It was soul-filling. It was absolutely beautiful.

What a difference a year makes—from having a few women over to share their stories of “onlyness” on my backyard porch to this 🥹🙌🏾. I’m so glad I didn’t allow my “not having it all figured out” stop me.

My girl @therapywithkeisha brought a 🔥🔥🔥 message on sisterhood. Sooo good. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

We’re still sitting with what happened in this room.

Over 50 Black women walked in carrying so much: responsibility, questions, weariness, and hope.

And for a few hours, we laid it down.

We told the truth about our lives.
We laughed in ways that felt like release.
We created space to breathe again.

No pressure to perform. No need to prove.

Just women… being.

This is why Mahogany Table exists. Too often, we are everything for everyone else and rarely given space to just be for ourselves.

Yesterday, we changed that and I don’t take a single moment of it lightly.

Thank you for trusting this space. Thank you for showing up fully.

If you were there, you felt it. If you missed it… we’re not done.

For the women who carry a lot.

Job. Family. Leadership. Microaggressions. Being the only. Being misunderstood. Being strong when you are tired.

There is an emotional toll to being a Black woman in America that we do not always speak about. But naming it is not weakness. It is awareness.

And awareness gives us options.

Mahogany Table exists because wellness does not happen by accident. It happens when we choose it.

What would you add?

It is past time for us to stop wasting time and energy on people who made up in their mind a long time ago to never like us or support us. The behavior we are seeing now is how they’ve always felt.

This is our season to redeem our energy, time, well-being, and joy. And we’re NOT APOLOGIZING either.

From the beginning, God made it very clear to me that this was not mine to carry alone. This was always meant to be a table.

It was meant to be a place where brilliant women come together to build, to serve, and to create spaces where Black women can be seen, supported, and able to exhale.

He exceeded my expectations. He didn’t just give me a vision. He sent the women to help bring it to life.

This team showed up with care, intention, and excellence in every detail. You can feel it in what we created.

Mahogany Table exists because of community, not one person.

To my team, thank you for serving with excellence and heart. You helped create a space where women could breathe again.

And to my girls, Glenda and Keisha, you have been there from the very beginning. You were among the first to hear what God placed on my heart, and you chose to listen, pray, and support before there was a clear plan.

We spend so much time learning how to succeed that we rarely pause to ask if what we’re building still aligns with who we are.

That’s what we did in that room.

We made space to reflect, to release, and to redefine what flourishing looks like on our own terms.

So many Black women spend their days leading, supporting, and carrying more than most people realize, often in spaces where they are the only one.

Mahogany Table was created as a different kind of room.

A room where your shoulders can drop.
Where your brilliance is recognized.
Where joy and community are not an afterthought.
