POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I had the honor of being in a room with some amazing women a couple weeks ago. Flourishing. Stillness. Honest moments. Tears. Joy. Right on time. Thank you Dr. Daye and @mahoganytablecommunity!

If you’re waiting for it to be perfect, you might be delaying the very thing that could impact someone else.

Start where you are.

Keep the main thing the main thing, not the numbers, the aesthetics, or the pressure.

Focus on the impact.

What is something that almost kept you from starting that we do not talk about enough?

I wrote about attending @mahoganytablecommunity last weekend.

As the founder, @latashamferguson spoke about the experiences of being "the only," I definitely could relate, especially right now being the only Latina in my corporate team.

I also shared on the journaling exercises given on redefining what success means to me.

A lot of times we post highlight reels online but truly feel like we are falling apart. I try, my best, to be honest when I'm struggling because life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. And we need safe spaces to be able to fully share with others who understand.

So, in my Substack today, I posted about my experience at the event, but also, my honest thoughts about what success means to me and how I struggle at times!

You can read at my link in bio, or comment, "Substack" and I'll send it you!

With Love, Heidy

From the beginning, God made it very clear to me that this was not mine to carry alone. This was always meant to be a table.

It was meant to be a place where brilliant women come together to build, to serve, and to create spaces where Black women can be seen, supported, and able to exhale.

He exceeded my expectations. He didn’t just give me a vision. He sent the women to help bring it to life.

This team showed up with care, intention, and excellence in every detail. You can feel it in what we created.

Mahogany Table exists because of community, not one person.

To my team, thank you for serving with excellence and heart. You helped create a space where women could breathe again.

And to my girls, Glenda and Keisha, you have been there from the very beginning. You were among the first to hear what God placed on my heart, and you chose to listen, pray, and support before there was a clear plan.

Thank you for seeing the vision early and choosing to walk with me as it came to life. This is what it looks like when women build something together. 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

I was once told I needed to widen my audience to succeed.

I’m so glad I didn’t listen.

There is powerful, necessary work that happens in spaces created for us, by us. So if you’ve been feeling the nudge to build something for our community, do it.

And don’t apologize or over explain.

We need what you carry. 🤎

For the women who carry a lot.

Job. Family. Leadership. Microaggressions. Being the only. Being misunderstood. Being strong when you are tired.

There is an emotional toll to being a Black woman in America that we do not always speak about. But naming it is not weakness. It is awareness.

And awareness gives us options.

Mahogany Table exists because wellness does not happen by accident. It happens when we choose it.

Early Bloom registration is open.

If you’re ready to stop carrying it alone, comment REST and we’ll send you the link.

MAHOGANY TABLE was created by a woman who understands the beauty of holding multiple identities as Afro -Korean and continues to bring together culture rooted in community, reverence and care.

That phenomenal woman is - Latasha Ferguson.

Latasha created MAHOGANY TABLE because she saw many Black women pouring out so much of themselves into their families, jobs, raising children as single mothers, building businesses as entrepreneurs but NOT putting REST as a priority.

MAHOGANY TABLE, is a restorative retreat, designed to center our voices and remind us that REST is not weakness , it’s wisdom. It’s a sacred space to sit, breathe and be poured back into while creating space where Black women can finally EXHALE.

MAHOGANY TABLE exists to slow us down for honest conversation, as well as to remind us that restoration is part of the journey - NOT a reward for burnout.

Come connect with women who deserve to be fed emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. This restorative retreat creates space to breathe, reflect and be restored. MAHOGANY TABLE understands the importance of :

*Intentional Conversation
*Real Community
*Sisterhood
* Connection
* Rest

Pull up a chair , YOU belong HERE , One ticket, One room, One intentional YES!!

EARLY BIRD TICKETS ( $88) are now AVAILABLE which includes a chef -catered culinary experience, thoughtfully prepared to nourish and delight.

Ava Holloway‘s song - “ You’re my Safe Space” reminds us that MAHOGANY TABLE is about softness, safety, and being held in community.

Black history isn’t only behind us. It’s sitting at the table right now.

We are our ancestors’ answered prayers, and we honor their legacy by choosing community, rest, and wholeness.

Because flourishing is legacy work. #blackhistorymonth

There’s a moment that keeps coming back to me lately.

It’s the moment when you realize you’re not actually lazy… you’re just tired of carrying more than your life can hold.

I’ve spent years being proud of how much I could do, how much I could absorb, how dependable I was. And somewhere along the way, I stopped asking what it was costing me.

This year, I’m not planning from pressure.
I’m planning from capacity.

If you’ve been craving a way to think about your year that doesn’t start with pushing yourself harder, I’m sharing the simple way I’m mapping mine without burning out inside my email community this Friday.

If you want to join me, grab the link in my bio 🤎

There comes a moment when the grind stops feeling like purpose and starts feeling like pressure.

When your body whispers what your calendar refuses to acknowledge.

When “strong” becomes a costume instead of a compliment.

This is your reminder that overachieving has a cost, and you deserve more than the version of success that leaves you drained.

Flourishing has a different rhythm.
A gentler one.
One that chooses you back.

If you felt this in your chest, you’re not alone.

Tell me which truth hit you the hardest.

Save and share 🤎

If it drains your joy, depletes your energy, or stretches your budget 👉🏾it’s a no this season.

This year, we’re redefining what it means to give. It begins with giving ourselves the care we deserve.
A holiday season that nourishes us? Yes, please. 🤎

Let me know: Do you usually overcommit during the holidays?
