Journey of Growth and Grit ✨

At 23, Chouaib Tabahate’s story shows how passion, determination, and support can transform a future.
After joining Um Mami (Team 12), Chouaib honed his skills in pastry with hands-on guidance from our chefs. His talent and hard work led him to his first professional role as Demi-chef pâtissier at Royal Mansour.

But his journey didn’t stop there. Driven by gratitude and a desire to give back, Chouaib returned to Um Mami as a training assistant, helping new students grow and succeed just as he did.
Stories like his are possible thanks to DAPP and PlanBørnefonden, who make learning, mentorship, and opportunity a reality.

✨ Chouaib’s advice to future chefs:
“Work with passion. Every day in the kitchen is a chance to learn, share, and become better. Believe in yourself — your future begins today.”

From Team 12 to Team 19 two different paths, one shared journey. 🤍

We started at @ummami_meltingpot as part of different teams, different disciplines, and with our own ideas of what the culinary world would look like.

I was in Team 12, pursuing my path in Bakery & Pastry, while @zayna_bne was in Team 19, building hers in Culinary Arts. Different kitchens, different techniques, different perspectives but the same place taught us something important: there is always more to learn, create, and become.

Our time at @shbm__um6p gave us more than skills. It gave us challenges, friendships, long hours, mistakes, small victories, and moments that slowly shaped the professionals we are becoming.

Now, looking back, it feels special to stand in the same frame not as the students we once were, but as alumni carrying everything we learned into the next chapter.

Different teams.
Different crafts.
Different journeys.
One passion for hospitality and creation. 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

And this is only the beginning.
