The first IUNO Networking Event last Friday at HTW Berlin was so rich and inspiring!

Fantastic guests from Berlin’s independent art & culture scene joined despite the heat, contributing questions and lively discussions. And we had amazing speakers, workshop leads and consultation specialists on board.
We experienced the event as a great combination of strong theory and practice, of critical thinking and ideas for our future, of trying out and reflecting.

Looking very much forward to next networking formats and practice-oriented workshops on XR, AI, and their synthesis in art & culture!

A big thank-you to all participants, especially to our collab partners and contributors:

• CCCberlin @cccberlin_beyond

• Kreativ Kultur Berlin @kreativkulturberlin

• Jinran Ha @jinran_ha

• Jasmin Grimm @jazzmademoiselle

• Damian Dziwis @damiantd

• Robert M. Stanley @european_artist_bank

• Pablo Dornhege @pablo.dornhege

• Warja Rybakova from dockDigital @neslob_ @dock_digital_berlin

• Erasmus Schmidt @erasmus.schmidt

• Julius Wenk

• all presenting and supporting HTW Berlin students

The event was free thanks to the co-funding of ERDF within the program INP-III.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆 🤼‍♀️ — an artistic mixed-reality multiplayer on togetherness, developed at @htwberlin with artists Lisa Kaschubat @lisakaschubat, Tasha Hess-Neustadt @tashamhn, and Jane Arnison @janearnison!

This piece is part of our first IUNO Networking Event on 19.06.26 at HTW Berlin — registration is still open, link in bio! 🧡

Audience members are invited to become performers within a MR multiplayer experience. Across four levels, MR functions as a medium of togetherness, connection, and intimacy.

Participants are guided into poses that foster an awareness of their own physical presence — and of the bodies coexisting around them.

Presented here in the 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁: without professional live dance, but with a dancing avatar animated via motion tracking of dancer Tasha. 🔥

Co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the program INP-III and supported by @udkberlin. Made possible also thanks to the support of @dock_digital_berlin. Special thanks to: Warja Rybakova @neslob_.

We are delighted to introduce you to our exciting program for the IUNO Networking event on June 19, 2026, 1–7 pm at @htwberlin! ✨

ʀᴏʙᴇʀᴛ ᴍ. ꜱᴛᴀɴʟᴇʏ, ᴇᴜʀᴏᴘᴇᴀɴ ᴀʀᴛɪꜱᴛ ʙᴀɴᴋ

Robert M. Stanley shares how the »European Artist Bank« (EAB) began from a simple but urgent problem: creative work moves faster than its proof, context, and ownership history. In the age of XR, AI, digital twins, and synthetic media, this gap is becoming impossible to ignore.

Rob introduces the origins of EAB, where »ARThenticity« stands today as a mobile-first provenance and custody workflow, and how recent work in Brandenburg has helped ground the project locally while thinking EU-wide.

The talk explores how artists, technologists, and mixed-media practitioners might help build a new infrastructure for linking creative work to the blockchain, which is traceable, artist-aligned, and designed for the realities of the AI era.

Program and registration link in bio of @iuno_htw_berlin and @majastarkberlin.

Robert M. Stanley is a Berlin-based cultural entrepreneur and product leader working at the intersection of creative industries and digital innovation.

He is the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of European Artist Bank (EAB Global Oy). With over 20 years of professional experience, Robert brings a cross-disciplinary background spanning music, cultural production, and new technologies, including XR, blockchain, AI and digital rights systems.

In the so-called »metaverse«, people meet in shared virtual environments – opening up new possibilities not just for social interaction, but for audiovisual art and live performance.

Emerging from research and development, new methods and systems are bringing live coding performances and innovative, immersive audiovisual art into shared virtual environments.

First launched in 2025 as a collaboration between TOPLAP Düsseldorf and Detmold University of Music, the ATEM Biennial – ᴀʟᴛᴇʀɴᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛꜱ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇᴍᴇʀɢɪɴɢ ᴍᴇᴛᴀᴠᴇʀꜱᴇ – presented these technologies and artistic practices as part of a multi-day festival held in the metaverse.

In this talk, Damian presents his research in the field of the Musical Metaverse, as well as the emerging possibilities as applied to the ATEM Biennial.

✨ Save the date for our annual ɪᴜɴᴏ ɴᴇᴛᴡᴏʀᴋɪɴɢ ᴇᴠᴇɴᴛ on AI and XR in Art and Culture on June 19, 2026, 1–7 pm at @htwberlin!

AI is not only transforming how art is created – it is also reshaping our understanding of creativity, authorship, and originality.

Drawing on current artistic practices and case studies, this input explores how artists, designers and critical thinkers are responding to generative systems. It presents key theses on the shifting role of the human creator.

How does creative work change when machines become co-creators? What new aesthetics, collaborations and ethical responsibilities emerge?

This talk invites the audience to rethink human imagination in the age of automation.

We are delighted that our ✨IUNO Artistic Fellow✨ will present her concept for an XR experience that critically reflects AI systems!

Jinran Ha’s practice investigates structural exclusions produced by technological systems through the lenses of migrant feminism and interface design.

A central focus is the repeated failure of AI image-generation systems to represent Samsin Halmi — the Korean goddess of birth, life, and fate — who has no fixed iconography, existing instead through oral tradition and practices of care.

When prompted, these systems consistently produce Westernized, sexualised archetypes.

Ha will present her concept for an XR installation in which AI-generated fragments of Samsin Halmi appear as conditional, dissolving presences —recognisable only at a distance, receding when approached.

**
Jinran Ha is a Berlin-based visual artist and interaction designer. Her research-driven practice spans installation, performance, and digital media, investigating structural exclusions within technological systems through the lenses of migrant feminism, decolonial solidarity, and techno-mythological inquiry. Recent projects engage generative AI, archival research, and spatial interaction as tools for critical artistic practice. She is currently a board member of District * School without Center, a queer feminist art and cultural association in Berlin.
