Happy October! This month, come try the “Max’s Sweet Heat” made with tomato sauce, fresh mozz, basil, sweet soppressata, and pineapple. This signature pie was created by Chef Maximus, and net proceeds from its sales will benefit Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley. Stop any Fortina location throughout the month of October to try it!

♥️ A bit about Max: Max has always had a love for TV and mo vie characters, finding joy in superheroes and cartoon characters. But there was one character that was by his side throughout his entire journey; his Elmo stuffed animals. When it came to choosing his wish, it was easy for Max; to meet Elmo.

Max and his family went on an amazing getaway to the home of Sesame Street. He got to not only meet Elmo, but some of Elmo’s friends as well! This trip was full of joy, love, and happiness for Max; an experience Max and his family will never forget. For Max and his family, this trip meant the world. Throughout Max’s medical journey, Elmo was right by his side. All Elmo stuffed animals he had; it always brought him and his family comfort and joy in the hardest of times.

Max hopes you enjoy his signature pizza, “Max’s Sweet Heat,” and thanks you for celebrating the power of a wish. Together, you’re helping bring hope, joy, and unforgettable memories to children facing critical illnesses.

🍋💙 A huge shoutout to Charlotte & Madison, who spent last weekend serving up lemonade, smiles, and hope in support of Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley. ✨ Through their incredible dedication and the support of their community, they helped bring us one step closer to granting more wishes for local children facing critical illnesses.

Jordyn’s wish may have lasted a few days, but the hope it sparked has stayed with her for more than two decades. 💙✨

Diagnosed with cancer at just 7 years old, Jordyn wished to go to the Walt Disney World Resort, giving her something exciting to look forward to and a chance to simply be a kid again. 🏰💫

That experience inspired a lifetime of giving back. From helping launch the chapter's very first Lemonade for Wishes stand to becoming an early member of our Alumni Committee, Jordyn has continued helping other wish kids experience that same hope and joy.

As we celebrate 40 Years of Wishes, her story reminds us that the power of a wish doesn’t end when the wish does. Sometimes, it becomes part of who you are. 💙
