This dresser is a quintessential example of Mid-Century Modern design by John Kapel for Glenn of California, a highly regarded manufacturer of the era.
Produced in the late 1950s to early 1960s, it showcases the iconic minimalist aesthetic of the period, characterized by rich walnut grain, clean lines, and integrated sculptural drawer pulls that serve as both functional elements and decorative accents. The piece features a distinct horizontal emphasis and recessed black accents between the drawers, providing a sophisticated contrast. Collectors highly value Kapel’s designs for their blend of organic warmth and structural precision. #midcenturyfurniture #interiordesign #vintagefurniture #sustainabledesign #bayareamidcentury by @makeithomeshop
