We’ve been waiting for it — LJUS, the limited-edition collection by @iittala x @officialbyredo is coming to brighten up our fall with a sensory ritual. The very first pieces of this beautiful collaboration, unveiled during @matterandshape, already caught our attention in Paris.

Carefully crafted by artisans using traditional techniques, the glass vessel let the warming candle glow dance across its organic shapes, whilst the delicate scent wafts through the room. A dialogue between materiality and intangibility that shapes not only our interiors, but also our everyday life 🤍

Swiss design for everyday life! @puzzledesign_ch places modularity at the heart of its creative process to design pieces that adapt to every moment, and to evolving lifestyles. Alongside refined lines, deep colours and a keen eye for detail and quality, founder Julien Garnier adopts an environmentally conscious approach by carefully selecting sustainable materials – certified wood, cork, and water-based varnishes – and opting for ethical, small-scale production in Switzerland and Portugal, as well as short supply chains. Every choice counts when designing objects that can be with us through different chapters of our lives.

#Conversation with @fdm_fine_crafts - ‘Fine craft’, as FDM co-founder Mirja Farronato calls it, has been steadily gaining ground. Think hand-carved furniture, one-off textile pieces and objects that blur the boundaries between art, design and craftsmanship. We speak to @fdm_fine_crafts co-owner and one of the gallery’s artisans, @tim_vranken, about the state of the field, where it’s heading, and why fine craft is finding an increasingly prominent place in the home. @kairavanwijk shares these perspectives.

#Destination - Designed by architect Gion Caminada, @maistra160 reads more like a philosophy than a floor plan. With art, literature and ideas about how to live well woven throughout. We stayed for a few days as summer slowly began to slip away, @kairavanwijk takes us along.

‘Caminada thinks and works very philosophically,’ says Irene Müller, director of Maistra 160, pulling a book from the curated little library at the rear of the hotel. We’re standing with our backs to the terrace, to the mountains, the open sky; behind us, the light folds into the room.

#Conversation with @kristinadamstudio - The Danish studio has developed a distinctive signature that combines Scandinavian refinement with sculptural expression. An ode to ‘Sculptural Minimalism’, which we discussed with the founder, Kristina Dam.

Drawing on her background in graphic design, Kristina Dam has incorporated a holistic approach to design into her work – from visual identity to objects, furniture and interiors, in both residential and public spaces. She has always kept a clear objective in mind: to restore an artistic dimension to our interiors.

The Cubio Stool - From the very first glance, it caught our eye in @formarkivet’s beautiful showroom that had just opened in the heart of Nordhavn in Copenhagen. A year later, an entire collection features this distinctive silhouette, from table to shelf. Whether in raw aluminium or neutral tones, its bold presence and character set the tone.
