BRIDES - don’t rush to get lip filler before your wedding… I can fake it for you!

This soft Pillow Talk-inspired bridal makeup I created on my beautiful model Saskia for Cheshire Fashion Week is the perfect example of how much you can transform natural lips with makeup alone.

Saskia has naturally beautiful lips, so rather than dramatically overlining them, I worked with her existing shape.

I softly bronzed around the perimeter of the lips and strategically placed sculpting product around the lip line to create the appearance of more height, projection and volume.

Then I refined the shape with liner and finished with a satin pink nude lip.

The result? That soft, pillowy, fuller-looking lip effect I create on all my clients and models without changing their natural features.

I paired Saskia’s lips with radiant glowing skin, softly sculpted cheeks, fluttery lashes and defined, dreamy and romantic eyes for a modern soft-glam bridal look that still photographed beautifully on the runway.

Bridal makeup doesn’t always need to be about adding more. Sometimes it’s knowing exactly where to place the product to create the illusion you want.

Golden hour, but make it bridal 🌅

Glowy, sun-kissed skin, soft champagne eyes and the perfect nude lip… my kind of summer bridal glam!

I had so much fun creating this look. I absolutely love that healthy, golden bronzed glow that makes you look like you’ve spent the day at the beach, but still feels soft, fresh and effortlessly bridal.

The beauty breakdown :

Skin: Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint for that radiant, lit-from-within glow and wand highlight

Eyes: Soft nudes using the Nudes Palette, finished with Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in Champagne for that dreamy shimmer.

Lips: Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude paired with Kim K lipstick Dancefloor Princess and Crystal happiness for the prettiest glossy nude pout.

And can we take a moment for the hair?!

Hair by Eimaan, who created the most beautiful bohemian, beachy hairstyle. A gorgeous textured, loose braid woven with delicate flowers, perfectly complementing the relaxed, romantic feel of this golden summer bridal look.

Brides: this is what happens when traditional Asian bridal glamour meets modern luxury.

There’s something so beautiful about the richness of traditional South Asian bridal makeup but for this look I wanted to take those elements and bring them into the modern world.

I created this bronzed sunset gold bridal look on my beautiful model Anousha at the Kristina Gasperas Studio for a shoot day focusing on glossy, radiant skin, warm golden tones and soft but sultry definition.

The skin was everything. I wanted it to look luminous and alive rather than overly matte using bronzed tones and golden highlights to catch the light beautifully.

For the eyes, I chose sparkling sunset golds and rich browns finished with fluttery lashes, and balanced everything with a glossy brown nude lip.

And a special mention has to go to my amazingly talented friend Dominique who created the hair. Anousha has beautiful naturally curly Mauritian hair, and rather than fighting her natural texture, Dominique worked her magic and transformed it into these gorgeous loose, glossy waves creating a beautiful traditional bridal style that complemented the makeup perfectly.

That combination is what I love most about this look -traditional without feeling dated, glamorous without feeling heavy, and modern without losing its cultural beauty.

Brides: who said neutral skin bridal makeup has to be nude to look expensive?

I created this strawberry-rose bridal look on my beautiful model Steph at the Kristina Gasperas Studio in Barnes, and I wanted it to feel like a modern take on that quintessential English rose beauty -romantic, feminine and polished, but with personality.

I kept Steph’s eyes pearly, light and softly defined, allowing that intense rosy flush and statement lip to become the focus. I used Charlotte Tilbury lipstick on both the lips and cheeks to build those gorgeous rose and berry tones and really bring her neutral skin tone to life.

Brides to be: This is your reminder that you don’t have to default to nude lips and neutral cheeks just because it’s your wedding day. Your bridal makeup should still feel like you.

For a spring or summer bride, these tones give that fresh strawberry-rose, just-pinched flush and come autumn, the same concept can be taken slightly deeper into rich berries and romantic rose tones.

And can we talk about the HAIR? My gorgeous friend Eimaan worked her magic with this effortlessly beautiful updo, leaving those soft, romantic face-framing pieces around Steph’s face.

It complemented the makeup perfectly -undone enough to feel modern, but still beautifully elevated and bridal.

This is exactly what I love about creating bridal looks: taking inspiration from trends without making you look trendy. The end result should still feel beautiful when you look back at your wedding photographs years from now.

When you want to look polished, not painted.

Natural glam for deeper skin tones - because beautiful bridal makeup should still look like beautiful skin. 🤎

I created this look during my shoot day at Kristina Gasperas Studio, and for this one I really wanted the skin to be the focus.

Fresh, radiant and perfected where it needed to be, but never masked. I kept the complexion beautifully luminous, added soft warmth and subtle sculpting, then created softly defined eyes that enhance rather than overpower Anousha’s features.

And those fresh rosebud lips were the perfect finishing touch.

For me, natural bridal makeup isn’t about using hardly any makeup. It’s about knowing where to place it, how to layer it and when to stop. The result should feel polished and photograph beautifully, while still looking like you when you catch yourself in the mirror.

There’s something so refreshing about these muted, cooler tones for a bride. Soft cool eyes, lots of fluttery lashes, fresh pink flushed cheeks and a muted brown lip. Nothing too warm, nothing overpowering -just beautifully polished, modern bridal glam.

Do you have olive skin? Save this for your bridal makeup trial.

If you’ve ever had your makeup done and thought “Why do I suddenly look pink?” or “Why does that foundation look orange on me?” your olive undertone could be the reason.

When I’m working with olive skin, I don’t just reach for a foundation labelled warm. Olive complexions often have that beautiful green/golden quality underneath the skin, so I’ll mix and adjust my foundations to create a more olive-toned base that actually melts into the complexion rather than fighting against it.

Then comes colour! The exciting bit!

I LOVE berry and muted rose tones on olive skin. Used in the right way, they bring life back into the complexion without making everything look overly pink. For this look, I kept that beautiful balance of warmth and richness with @makeupbymario blush in rose crush and lipstick in Dumbo then added soft definition around the eyes with a touch of shimmer using the ethereal palette by @makeupbymario to catch the light and really make my gorgeous model Leyla’s green eyes pop. This photographs so beautifully for weddings especially.

The result? Soft glam that still has presence without masking Leyla’s natural colouring.

And this is something I really want brides to remember: your bridal makeup shouldn’t be copied shade-for-shade from somebody else’s Pinterest photo. Your undertone, features and colouring matter. You can also wear nudes but it has to be the right undertone for you! Cool blushes and lip products can make olive ladies look grey and dull

The right shades should make you come alive. 🫒

I created this full glam makeup on the beautiful Sadaf Aras for the Asiana Bridal Luxe Show. The brief: Full glam Smokey brown eyes with fluttery lashes, soft blush and glossy lips.

This look was all about enhancing Sadaf’s naturally beautiful porcelain skin while bringing that unmistakable full-glam bridal finish.

The complexion was kept radiant rather than overly matte, so her natural beauty still came through underneath the glamour.

This makeup had to be polished enough for the camera and survive hot flashing stage and camera lights yet still beautiful up close.

A modern South Asian, full glam bridal look that feels glamorous without losing the woman underneath it.

Bridal Bronzed Full Glam

created this look for Asiana Bridal Looks at Park Hyatt River Thames in London, where the brief was all-out bronze glamour and I loved every second of creating it.

Think radiant bronzed skin, softly pinched rosy cheeks, rich bronze eyes, layers of fluttery lashes and a high-shine nude gloss. Defined and glamorous, but with skin that still looks luminous and alive.

There’s something I love about a bride who doesn’t want to play it too safe with her wedding makeup. You can have the polished skin, the elegance and the timeless finish and still want smoky eyes, lashes and stand out glamour.

For me, great full-glam bridal makeup is all about balance. If we’re going stronger on the eyes, I want the complexion to feel fresh and expensive. If the skin is beautifully bronzed, I want dimension rather than heaviness. Everything should work together rather than compete.

This was my take on a modern bronzed bridal glam -sultry eyes, flawless skin and that glossy nude lip that catches the light beautifully.
