It’s my babies LAST first day of middle school and I am unwell. These girls have been besties since elementary school and to be able to watch them grow so much over the last three years has been such a gift. I am so grateful for the friendship that they created and that just keeps getting stronger every year. I’m also grateful to have been able to drive them to school or pick them up every day for the past two years as a part of our carpool mom squad. I can’t believe our girls are growing up so quickly and next year on a day like today they will be starting their first year in high school. May they have the best last year of middle school ever! And our sweet Ethan is such a trooper. He puts up with three girls, their makeup routines in the car on the way to school and all of their gossip every day after school and just smiles… I love all four of these kids with all my heart. SOOOOOO PROUD OF MY GIRL!!!! She got into 8th grade Speech and Debate 1 which is a travel tournament debate team & high school credit- she also got into Honors ELA and Biology 1 which are also high school credits! I’m sooo insanely proud of her! She has taken speech and debate in 6th and 7th grade as electives but 8th grade isn’t an elective and there’s a waitlist to get in and her teacher told her that he didn’t think she would get in for 8th grade bc of the high demand for the class bc of the high school credit but she kept pushing, grinding and telling her teacher all year that she wanted that class and has worked hard for it the last 2 years and just found out today that she got it! His exact words were: “Charlie ( her name is Charlotte) I don’t want to lose you in 8th grade, you’re a hard worker and a great debater, I need you on our travel tournament debate team- I’m so proud of you Charlie, you’ve earned this!” EEEKKK!!! This is such a big deal for her! I can’t believe we are talking high school credits already 😭 she is soooo excited to travel to different schools and debate other students (lord help them bc this girl is insanely good- to the point that her teacher says she should go to law school and become a litigator). Happy Monday!! Just another running karaoke for my favorite people! The ways I make a fool out of myself during my run so that when you go out and walk, jog or run- you know you look amazing bc there’s a weirdo out there dancing, singing and running simultaneously on a sidewalk in full traffic with ZERO shame😂 I’ll always be weird for you to feel safe and seen!

Don’t talk to my sister or I about the “news”, dont give us your political opinions or why this war may be “good” or “bad”. Give us your prayers, your support, your light & love and unless you’re giving us hope please stay silent and just pray for the men and women who have bravely taken an oath to defend our nation against enemies both foreign and domestic, they sacrifice their lives when they are called to serve and with that call, they leave behind a family whose heart aches everyday that they are away, fearing that dreaded knock at the door or that folded flag, like the one i have sitting on my living room mantle. My nephew and his wife are both active duty Marines with a newborn baby girl, Micah, my nephew followed in his grandfathers footsteps and answered the call to serve. our family has always been a strong military family and its never easy to watch them leave or give them that hug. May God bless our troops, May he give strength to our soldiers and comfort when they need it most and may he give peace and strength to all of the families left behind while they go fight a war they didn’t start. God Bless our Marines and all Military men and women and God bless our troops. we love you all and thank you for your service and sacrifice to protect our freedom in this United States of America.

This is an appreciation post to my best friend @neversayneverfiona When someone you love is going through one of the darkest & hardest times in their life & they know that you’re still trying to show up for your kids & that youve stopped showing up for yourself for a long time. So they text you questions to get you talking like “whatcha makin’ the kids for dinner” and they send you reminders to hydrate and drink your protein because she’s always called you her little cactus. As a mom, I’ve taught my kids that when it comes to friendships, it’s about quality vs quantity. I’m extremely outgoing, I used to be the “Sazón” of my family and any get together or party I went to. You’ve all known me as the girl who runs like crazy, wears high heels loves, make up, but loves her friends and her community even harder. Unfortunately, that girl has been dealing with a lot of things she hasn’t talked about for the last five or six months. That’s why you’ve seen me quiet & you’ve seen less of me on screen- Bc I don’t know how to show back up as myself. I don’t want to be the “Debbie downer“ and start telling you guys stories and things that I’ve been through because regardless of how many stories I could tell & how traumatic & unbelievable they are-I don’t want to make other people sad. I don’t want people to feel pity for me, I never have, which is why I’ve never spoken about any of it. It’s the reason I’ve been as strong as I have for everyone else around me for as long as I have, but then all the cracks that I had started to collapse onto themselves & I found myself breaking into more pieces than I could pick up and repair. So I stopped trying. Fiona has shown up for me every single day & one way or another to remind me that I’m loved, that I matter, that I’m worthy of success, that I am enough just as I am and that I have a story to tell. She’s not only a great mother and wife, but my God she is an amazing and selfless friend, and one that I have felt undeserving of for the last seven years. I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to be the same kind of friend she has been to me. The SIM card swallower.😂 I 🩷 You Fi
