Thinking of dad today! He brought so much fun and joy to the world. He was an amazing father. He cared so much for people and it’s appropriate that it’s National Nurses Week because he was a gifted nurse in large part due to how much he cared. It was horrible losing him two years ago today. He fought so hard and for so long. Cancer is a terror and he was too young. But looking at these photos brings me joy and his memory will always be a blessing! He loved music and if you want to listen to some of his favorite songs, there is a link to a playlist in my bio! Miss you, dad! by @makslav

A few more pictures of sweet Winnie. ❤️🐾 by @makslav

Our sweet and wonderful Winnie took her last breath yesterday. A surprise illness came out of nowhere and she fought so hard but it was too much for her. I arrived at our cottage on Saturday evening and she was her loving, joyful, playful self, and I’m so grateful to have had one more evening with her feeling healthy. We’re heartbroken and shocked. She brought so much joy to our lives and so many others. She loved boat rides. She especially loved car rides with her head out of the window to smell the world around her, even in the rain and cold. She snorted and ‘talked’ to us when she was in a silly mood. She loved playing fetch, swimming in the lake, and eating snow - often dunking her whole face in it to get a mouthful. She was a wonderful little sister to Toby and big sister to Gabby. She was a comforting and peaceful presence when dad was sick. She was always up for adventures and she and I have traversed many paths and rivers together. I feel a significant lack of her presence in the cottage, but she will always take up a huge part of my heart. To our sweet Winter, thank you for the joy and love you brought to us. We miss you. by @makslav

Friends! Please consider donating $5 for July (or more if you want 😊)! It would be a much longer video if I were to share everything that @piccolofarms means to me and to the community! Every time I have the opportunity to be there, I am changed for the better.
