One month of Winnie 🥹🤎 The softest, smiliest, n’ miniest lil black-beaned snuggle monster. We’ve all been adjusting quite well. Benji’s happy to have something other than me on a computer to watch all day and has a newfound love for cat toys. The two fluffy butts inch closer everyday.

We’ll forever miss our late, great Queen Punky, but I’m pretty sure she orchestrated this rehoming via her trusted cat-matchmaker, @joettear4. Thanks Joette, ya done it again. This holiday wouldn’t have felt right without a floof rolling in catnip under the tree and the Punkster knew that.

I couldn’t be happier to have a camera roll full of cats again and to give this 6-year-old sass all the luvs for da rest of her life. Welcome to Winnie’s World 🤎🦝

Oooh Portugal. You sweet, sweet country. Our cups are the fullest and bellies are even more full of pastel de natas. Straight off the plane we took a boat to a stunning little island off Peniche called Berlengas. A magical first stop of Tour De PortuMal playing mermaids (and merman) with the fishies around a 17th-century fort. Oh friends and @punkystares fans, I’m devastated to be sharing this news. Our world shattered over the weekend… My sweet and sassy little Punky girl grew angel wings minutes before her 13th birthday Saturday. 💔 Nothing could have prepared us for this. The signs were so subtle until they weren’t. Cats are way too good at hiding their pain and our stubborn little Punk did just that. After an unsettling visit to the vet on Thursday, no answers and some steroids to see how she did over the next week... She didn’t have that time. The following day I took her elsewhere and they determined she was extremely anemic and needed an immediate blood transfusion. Up until her last few hours she was still purring, eating treats, drinking water, grooming herself, and just as feisty with the vet as she ever was. All unlikely behaviors for a dying cat. And that was enough to give us and the vet hope. We needed a miracle, but Punky needed peace. Her little heart stopped beating just before they began the transfusion and my heart crumbled into pieces. My poor boo. Richard and I loved that cat more than anything. She was our queen. A one of a kind funny little creature. Always staring and always making us laugh. Punky was my baby and my best friend. Working from home she was always by my side, the purfect little desk ornament. I’ll miss my work buddy and her funny little chirps and purrs everyday…. Continued below (sorry for the novel, but I could probably write one or five about this girl) by @maltt89

‘Twas the most glorious and giggly gals trip scootin’ around Denver and stuffing our faces with croissants to celebrate our lady Nicole and witness history take place at Red Rocks.
