I used to worry about how I’d balance having a family and a career. Balance is probably not worth chasing; but the feeling of being content and giving your all, wherever you stand sure is.

I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me get here. But I’m mostly grateful to 15 year old Maddie who decided she would be a doctor and a Mom; and never stopped 🫶🏼

Save my game plan for spending the day at the pool as a dermatologist!

💥UPF 50 clothing and hats. And no, regular clothing doesn’t do the job. A white t-shirt is only UPF 5.
💥Avoid peak UV hours (10AM-2PM), luckily this is nap time anyway.
💥Opt for shade, but don’t be fooled - up to 85% of the UV may still be reaching you in the shade.
💥I’ll be taking @heliocare_usa to complement my sun protection efforts!

Spend your money where it matters!

True story: a patient told me that she hadn’t seen improvement in her skin after getting facials every few weeks for a year.
