🎶 she’s up all night to get gyros 🎶

well, mostly to feed the bébé, but this has a better ring to it 😂

🌱 vegan options

we popped to lucky gyros for a little lunch and ordered:

🥙 vegan gyros meal + fizzy vimto
🍚 vegan kebab rice box meal + pepsi max
🧄 2 x vegan tzatziki

the ‘meat’ was so succulent and tender, the fries were perfectly crispy and the vegan tzatziki was INSANE. very glad we got one each 😂

also can we take a moment for the beautiful branding?! the pink, the packaging… obsessed 💖

baby friendly too, with baby feeding and changing facilities nearby, which made lunch out with the bébé that little bit easier 👶🏻

maki & ramen 🍱🍜 ad/pr invite

🌱 loads of vegan options

📍 2 x locations in Manchester, plus loads more across England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

a few weeks back @makiramen invited me down to try some of their vegan options 🌱

we had:

🫧 blue bubble margarita for my gal — highly recommend ordering this one, such a fun way to serve a drink! she also managed to surprise the waiters by getting the bubble on top first go 👏🏻

🏔️ mount fuji for me (mocktail), because I also fancied a blue drink just because 💙 and it was delicious 😋

to eat we had:

🍜 black garlic tonkotsu with extra tofu 🙏🏻
🍜 miso ramen
🎃 pumpkin croquettes
🍱 vegan tokyo roll with vegan chicken

ok everything was amazing 😻 SO tasty, and this was the perfect amount for two hungry gals (permanently hungry over here tbh)

the service was so good, everyone was lovely 😍 and the atmosphere + aesthetic of the restaurant is gorgeous too.

if you haven’t visited maki & ramen yet, I’d definitely recommend giving it a go!

also baby + kid friendly 👶🏼

pastry deets:

vanilla crème pâtissière, raspberry sauce, vanilla crème diplomate, sherbet, flake

I spotted the launch of this vegan pastry yesterday and it was first on my to do list this morning 😍

safe to say I wasn't disappointed, possibly the best pastry I've ever had. 🤯 10/10!

paired with an iced cherry matcha with oat milk 🍒🍵 = a matcha made in heaven 🫶🏻

they’ve got a great array of hot and iced drinks for all tastes, i’ve already got my eye on the cinnamon bun latte for next time 🤎

after a rough start, I'm so excited to start exploring all my favourite places (and finding new spots) with my little bébé by my side. these slower moments, good food and little adventures already feel so special. 🥹💚

now I need your recommendations… 👇

🥪 VG SHAWARMA GRILLED CHEESE 🥪

nothing beats a banging sandwich and to be quite honest, nobody does it better than @rackmcr 👑

📍 their handmade sandwiches are available at arndale market, stockport and sale

details: inside the sandwich we have: vegan shawarma pieces, cheese, harissa chilli sauce, tahini garlic sauce and fattoush salad

💭 it all worked perfectly - the crispy bread combined with the spiced 'meat' and the crunch of the salad and meltiness of the cheese and the sauces was a dream combo

⭐️ rack really are truly doing the most with giving you options to veganise so many of the sandwiches on offer - thank you!!!

🍟 had my sandwich with salt and pepper mini hash browns l, stunning 🥹

*** is definitely a messy sandwich so be warned 😂

vegan mr whippy, hallelujah 🍦 🙌🏻

PSA my manchester vegan pals, you can get a vegan mr whippy from an ice cream fan in 📍 mayfield park (few mins walk from piccadilly train station / right next to escape to freight island)

👛 costs £4

no flake but can add vg friendly sauce 😋

💭 this was the perfect addition to a sunny stroll in the city centre park, creamy, vanilla-y and truly hit the spot

☕️ there's also a coffee place next door doing iced latte etc and toilet facilities too

📍 exact location shown in pic 3 - v close to the pretty amazing looking kids play area

let's hope for more sunny days ahead 🌞

also the space @mayfieldmanchester is gorge, green and clean, what more can you want? by @mama.peebs

🥙 GREAT BRITISH DONER - VEGAN DONER IS HERE 🥙 ad pr invite

@greatbritishdoner just opened their second manchester site - this one is in piccadilly (other location in deansgate) and for non-manchester folk, you can get your fix in liverpool ✌🏻

🌱 vegan friendly

👛 affordable fast food with a range of deals on e.g. vegan doner and chips for £5.50 👀 a vegan burger meal deal for £8.80 🍔

we had:

🥙 vegan doner wrap (can choose between naan and tortilla - I went for naan)

🍟 vegan doner box with a choice of chips, rice or tortilla- I went for chips ofc

🥡 all served with your choice of salad and sauce - vegan sauce options are clearly marked, I went for vegan garlic mayo and sweet chilli

💭 after a previous fully vegan kebab shop closed in mcr, it's incredible to have this amazing option here in the city and the doner is absolutely delicious and the portions and prices are great value for money - will definitely be back 😋 cannot fault the food at all 10/10

🧆 if you're not fancying vegan doner, they also have falafel boxes available and hummus and pitta as a side

best surprise was that they do a vegan baklava.. biscoff flavour 😍 didn't have room to eat this on site but tucked into this at home and it was delightful 👌🏻

p.s you can also buy their vegan kebab to take home!

1 + 2 🍝 pasta and parmigiana from @sicilianfoodnq fabulous vegan menu

3 🍕 a poorly lit but delicious 4 cheese pizza and dough balls from @purezza

4 🍛 veggie katsu curry from kyotoya, withington

5 🍌banana bread and an iced oat latte from @campfieldmarket (the banana bread was from a market stall which occupied the sole vegan offering across the markets 🙀)

6 🍳 full vegan english and a pint of OJ from the institution that is @thekoffeepot for book club. unpopular opinion but i actually love a veggie based sausage

7 🍰 iced oat latte and pistachio and lemon cake from @northstardeli

8 🍔 possibly my favourite burger in existence, truffle chick'n burger from @wholesomejunkies @hinterland.bar

9🥚 tis the season for fake mini eggs @mummymeegz

🥞 £5 pancakes @ bills 🥞

did you know that every friday, all day, you can get a stack of pancakes from @billsrestaurant for a fiver 😍

and you can go bottomless (!) with the purchase of any drink 💁🏼‍♀️

vegan options you can have:

vegan bacon and maple syrup 🥓

berries and vegan whipped cream 🍓

biscoff, maple and banana 🍌

I did go bottomless and went for option 1 and 2, will go for the biscoff next time 😋

🌱 porto vegan eats 🌱

oh hiiii, it's been a while but I've recently been to porto and wanted to share some of the places I tried

@honestgreens 🥬 went here MANY times, plant-focused food that's quick but healthy, obsessed with everything I ate here including the matcha and sweet treats too

@francesinhas_baixa 🥪 fully vegan menu with various franceshinas options, we tried two different ones, very filling not a lover of this but glad I tried

@odetebakery fully vegan bakery 🥐 I tried croissant sandwich, quiche, pastel de nata, chocolate tarte and pastel de nata filled croissant - everything was 10/10

@kindkitchen.porto 🍳 vegan fried egg!! which I got as a side to my tofu katsu sandwich 🤤 it was prob the most realistic fried egg I've tried

@mygreenpastry got a flan from here, sooo good

@verde_hut fully vegan buffet, forgot my phone coming here but it was incredible, soups, salads, curries, dips, all so tasty and i think €13 all you can eat with a homemade lemonade!

wasn't enough time to try all the vegan places porto had to offer, really enjoyed this city - perfect for a lil foodie and cultural trip 😘
