Mama’s Chocolate Loaf
You’ll need:
🍫300g All Purpose Flour
🍫70g Cocoa Powder
🍫2 tsp Baking Powder
🍫1 tsp Baking Soda
🍫¾ tsp Salt
🍫130g Unsalted Butter
🍫140g Vegetable Oil
🍫300g Sugar
🍫3 Eggs
🍫2 tsp Vanilla Extract
🍫280g Maziwa Mala/Plain Yoghurt
🍫110g Hot Coffee

- Onions and Dania Stems
- Minced Garlic
- Cumin, Garam Masala and Curry Powder
- Tender Boiled Meat
- Beef Cube
- Tomato Paste
- Blended Tomatoes
- Salt to taste
- Shredded Cabbage

Mama’s Homemade Granola
You’ll need:
🥜Jumbo Oats(not quick or superfast oats pls)
🥜Sunflower Seeds
🥜Pumpkin Seeds
🥜Flax Seeds
🥜Sesame Seeds
🥜Almonds
🥜Cashews
🥜Dessicated Coconut
🥜Coconut Oil
🥜Honey
🥜Dried Fruits and Raisins (Optional) - add at the end after baking is done
🥜Chocolate Chips (Optional) - add at the end after baking is done

Bake at 160C for 30 minutes. Start turning them at 15 minutes(please don’t skip this) then keep tossing after every 5 minutes for even crisping and to avoid burning. Don’t overbake. They won’t come out crispy at 30 minutes but after cooling completely they’ll be perfectly crispy 🫶🏾 by @mamas.plate

🍌4 Bananas
🍌3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
🍌3/4 Cup Sunflower Oil
🍌Pinch of Salt
🍌3 Eggs
🍌2Tsp Vanilla Essence
🍌300g All Purpose Flour
🍌2tsp Baking Powder
🍌1tsp Baking Soda
🍌2Tsp Cinnamon

Mix all .. Bake at 175c for 35 minutes if using a Two small Loaf Tins OR 55-65 Minutes if using one Loaf Tin. by @mamas.plate

Mama’s Lemon Loaf Cake
🍋 300g All Purpose Flour
🍋 2 tsp Baking Powder
🍋 ½ tsp Baking Soda
🍋 ½ tsp Salt
🍋 2 tbsp Poppy Seeds
🍋 180g Sugar
🍋 Zest of 2 large Lemons
🍋 Zest of 1 Lime
🍋 115g Butter - Room Temperature
🍋 75ml Cooking Oil
🍋 3 Eggs
🍋 150g Mala or Yoghurt
🍋 60ml fresh Lemon Juice
🍋 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
🍋 1 tsp Lemon Essence

For the Lemon Glaze
🍋 Icing Sugar
🍋 Lemon Juice

Bake a whole one at 175C for 55 Minutes or in two loaf tins at the same temperature for 35 minutes. Enjoy 🫶🏾 by @mamas.plate

Burger Week is with us 🥳🥳🥳
I got a chance to try out three out of the four delicious burgers that’ll be on offer at Chronos. The offer is Buy one burger get one free from 27th August to 6th September. Chronos is located behind Lavington Mall (Look for the Forex Bureau and follow the blue light) This is such a lovely hidden gem and you catch the vibe right from the door. Highly recommended.

For Burger week, they have a Beef Burger, Chicken Burger, Lamb Burger and a Falafel Burger on BOGOF with sides 🫶🏾 .. Let me know when you try 💕 by @mamas.plate

🐓Coriander, Onions, Garlic and Pesto(optional)
