To everyone who supported my Pelotonia ride, who volunteered for this extraordinary event, who dedicated their weekend to participating… this survivor THANKS you! Adam and I tent camped for the first time since our boys were in Scouts and we rode 25 miles through the hills of southern Ohio. We had a ball but most of all we showed cancer that we can overcome it’s wicked ways. by @mandicuster

Birthday 53 comes to a close and I end my day by filling my pill pouches for the week ahead. Tomorrow marks 18 years of cancer survivorship as I cross my first diagnosis anniversary. Two days of reflection and celebration, back-to-back, but I have made it though with the love and support of so many friends and an incredible family. Thank you to everyone who took the time to send me bday wishes today. I read and love them all. May 53 be my best one yet! by @mandicuster

Some days are memorable and today was one of them… after a morning of good news and meeting another member of Denise Castillo Dell Isola’s care team at University of Chicago Medical Center, we experienced the HOPE within the Obama Presidential Center on the South Side of Chicago. It is extraordinary and 100% focused on bringing community together. by @mandicuster

As we close out August, I am reflecting on two beautiful weddings that Adam and I had the privilege to attend. While I cannot believe we are old enough to witness our friends’ children getting married, it is a beautiful sight to behold. Will's short film, SKINERGY, was selected for a second film festival... this one in Atlanta! He, and his talented little bro, designed these T-shirts, and poster, for the festival. Some days these two give me grey hair, and other days they blow my mind and I burst with pride. Way to go Custer boys! by @mandicuster

There is this special town in rural Indiana and DePauw University lives there. Every five years, members of the class of 1996 reunite and I am reminded how extraordinarily blessed I am to be a part of this alumni family.
