This verse was on my mind this morning…“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”

You can work hard and still build the wrong thing if God isn’t the foundation.

That “house” can represent your marriage, your family, your ministry, your business, your team, your career, or your legacy. Hard work matters but this scripture reminds us that effort without God’s direction can be like chasing the wind.

Years ago, I learned the importance of seeking God’s direction in every area of my life. I’m so grateful that God is the builder of my life, my faith, my family, and our businesses. I don’t want Him to simply be included in what I’m building, I want Him to be the Architect, the Foundation, and the Builder of it all. In other words, I start with Him..I dont add Him to it.

On the other hand sometimes we start with the Builder, but somewhere along the way, success can convince us that we’ve figured out how to build on our own. We begin trusting our experience, our resources, our connections, or our own wisdom more than we trust the One who gave us those things in the first place.

And eventually we can discover that what looked successful to the world was being built in vain because God was no longer at the center of it.

That’s why I often analyze the moves my family and I make. Because the goal isn’t simply to build something successful, its to build something sustainable with Kingdom impact.

There’s a difference between asking God to bless what we’re building and surrendering ourselves so that God can build through us. by @mandraecollins

Last night, I was out cutting the lawn, just spending some time with God and thinking about the scripture in Isaiah where He says:

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…” - Isaiah 49:16

Then I looked up at the sky…and this is what I saw. 🙌🏾

It looked like the palm of a hand stretched across the heavens.

For me, it was one of those reminders of just how on time God really is. I was thinking about being engraved in the palm of His hand, and then I looked up and saw this.

Some moments don’t need a long explanation. They simply remind you that God sees you. God knows you. And God hasn’t forgotten you.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” — Psalm 19:1

Nights like these will NEVER get old!

I love connecting with my younger kids, whether it’s through reading a good book or simply playing together.

The kids get a kick out of seeing Daddy bring the characters to life! 😂 I don’t know why I get so into it, but I love helping them understand the emotions behind each character and making the story feel real.

It’s more than just reading a book. It’s creating memories, building connections, and teaching valuable life lessons along the way.

A huge thank you to All Pro Dad for gifting us Austin Plays Fair by Tony Dungy. Such a great read with a meaningful message!

@alexanderfamily37 has 14 kids! 11 girls and 3 boys. (3 in college and 1 in heaven) We have 11 with one on the way.

That’s 26 kids between two families.

It’s always such a blessing to meet families that get it. I know I didn’t get it until I lived it.

But we’re here to say this…it’s so much better than you’re thinking it is.

There’s no better life than one planned by the Lord!

What an incredible night at the All Pro Dads event! 🙌🏾

Loved spending the evening with my boys, making memories, and catching up with friends!

As a father of a large family, I’ve learned that you have to be intentional about taking time OUT to put time IN. Moments like these matter, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to pour into my boys and strengthen our bond.

Fatherhood is a blessing, and being present is a choice! 🙏🏾

Wow…heard this today and it HIT me! 🤯🔥

EVERY TIME Jesus spoke to a demon in the Bible, they obeyed.

No debating.
No negotiating.
No “let me think about it.”

Yet when Jesus speaks to us, we hesitate, question, and sometimes try to decide whether we’re going to obey.

Think about that…

Why would we give Jesus LESS obedience than demons do? 🤯

The Bible says even the demons believe and TREMBLE! (James 2:19)

If demons recognize His authority enough to tremble and obey…perhaps they know something that we often forget:

There is POWER in His name.
There is AUTHORITY in His voice.
And when He speaks, our response should be OBEDIENCE! by @mandraecollins

Day 3 was the PINNACLE!! 🔥🏀🙌🏾

A day full of energy, fun, servant leadership, and of course… Shaq! 💪🏾

Words can’t fully express the success of this year’s Collins Skills Camp! Our coaches and trainers poured everything they had into these campers all week long. Our registration and security teams worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything flowed smoothly and, most importantly, that every camper was safe.

We are incredibly grateful to have partnered with Shaq over the last five years, bringing fun, excitement, encouragement, and IMPACT to communities through the game of basketball. What started as a camp has become so much bigger than basketball!

The skills will improve. The memories will last. But the character and impact are what matter most! 🙏🏾

Year 5 is officially in the books…and I can’t wait to see where God takes us next year! 👀🔥

To God be ALL the glory! 🙌🏾

Day 2 did NOT disappoint at the Collins Annual Skills Camp!! 🏀🔥

We advanced the skills, raised the intensity, and pushed our campers a little further—all while continuing to challenge and build their CHARACTER!

Because at the end of the day, it’s bigger than basketball! 💯

Skills will help you on the court, but CHARACTER will carry you through life!
